Hi All

Hope to go back to DLPR this summer following our great 4 days over Easter.
Will probably do a day trip or 2 out of our week's holiday ideally from a gite or campsite somewhere not too far (say 2 hour drive max ?).
However, have no idea re accommodation and need help !
Probably somewhere north of Paris as we will probably use good old Ryanair into Beauvais and hire a car.
Has to be family friendly - 2 boys aged 6 & 4.
Anyone ever done something similar ?

We stay at a gorgeous holiday park an hour away from DLRP called La Croix Du Vieux Pont in Berny Riviere

but there is one closer about 25 mins drive from DLRP, called Les Etangs Fleuris :

oops it appears I am too much of a newbie to post links ?! just put the name of the parks into a search :)

We have also stayed twice at Berny Riviere and think its a lovely site. Very relaxing with a few lakes and river as well as a really big swimming pool with slides etc.
However we didnt visit DLRP from there, instead we stayed there and then moved to DLRP. Both times we have travelled it has taken less than an hour but it was very early both times (7.00am)
The site does regular trips to DLRP but you are tied to a set time to return

Quite a lot of families do daily visits so it is certainly accessible.

Eliza has just posted trip reports from the other site. (She has stayed at both and there is a comparison on her report.) It seems a smaller site with not as much to do but nearer to DLRP.

We may look into staying there next year ourselves for a while

It was certainly do able, driving down in the morning then back in the evening,we just made sure we had a mega early night the night before !

the drive is a straight forward one, even we managed not to get lost :lmao:

We go with the Sun cheapy holidays as a 3 night break, so dont get a choice of where we go really lol ,i did try for Les Etangs as first choice but got Berny which we werent disappointed about :)

Just remembered theres also Paris International camping site @ Maisons Laffitte : http://www.keycamp.co.uk/index.cfm/fuseaction/campsites.resortoverview/mastercode/123/ver/2.cfm

which is about 45 mins from Disney (though this one doesnt have a swimming pool which is a must for our boys ! )Would be good for a city visit though as only 20 mins or so from centre of Paris :)

Has anyone stayed here?
We are staying for 2 nights in July (again part of a 2 wk trip to France which is going to incorporate 2 nights at DLP- not yet booked). We were thinking poss of using the 2 nights there to visit Paris but may end up going to DLP on one day as well as the nights we intend staying there as we are intending getting APs.
I understand there is an RER station very close by but havent checked out how easy it is to DLP from there so would be grateful for any advice/ tips on getting to DLP and Paris from here

:cheer2: :cheer2:
