Hi

My sons are very much into going camping - scouts etc - and they would love to visit a shop that sell camping and outdoor gear when we are in Orlando.
Can any of you recommend a good shop for this kind of stuff?
Thanks

The best shop for that kind of thing would be Bass Pro Outdoor World. It is a massive shop in the Festival Bay Mall opposite the Prime Outlets and they do everything you can imagine to do with camping.

Outdoor World is by far the biggest and has everything you could think of for the great outdoors. It is aimed primarily at hunting, shooting and fishing though and is a little short of technical backpacking kit.

There's Peter Glenn sport and ski towards the north of I drive, just past Universal Boulevard. This has a bit of gear in but again, not much.

The best one if you have the time is Travelcountry in Altamonte Springs. www.travelcountry.com
They are a dedicated backpacking shop and are about halfway between Sanford airport and Orlando.

You'll need a supply of Kendal Mint Cake to keep up your strength going round Outdoor World! ;)

I think Simon should include a map in next years brit guide. It's as big as any theme park.:thumbsup2
