Camping, is it just me?

Does not sound like fun and seems like too much work for me! Men! Somethimes they just don't think! I like the frying pan idea and have been tempted a few times to use it myself.;) :)

Chattyaholic if we had a 5th wheel and we were camping at the campground that we always camp at it would be okay for a little while although I wouldn't really want to do it for too long. We just have a small tent trailer and there is no real room to move around in it. We do have a choice as well because the company will pick up the tab for the hotel and the meals. It won't cost us a cent to go to the hotel. I think hotel, a maid, maybe a pool and hot tub, room service, vs. tent trailer, me doing all the work, cooking cleaning, and if there are mosquitos, no going outside, being by myself with no where to go. Mmmm I think no contest, he thinks woods, quiet, camping .

Since I loathe camping, this is an easy one for me! If I can't have all the comforts of home ( private toilet, toilet paper, tv, shower, A/C, running water, well you get the picture, lol) I don't want any part of it. I actually could go to Chicago with my hubby in a few weeks if I had a babysitter. (anyone wanna babysit??? LOL) He will have a suite and all of his meals are paid for. Since I had gastric bypass I could just nibble off of his plate and the trip would be nearly free! *sigh* Anyone wanna babysit??? oops I already asked that didn't I? :teeth:

Usually, I just laugh at Jason's contributions to threads like this, but this time I agree -- hit him in the head with the frying pan. :p ;)

Seriously, he's out of his mind. Camping would be fun if it were both of you and much more things to do, but for a *business trip*? Where you'd be left alone all day? Uh... no.

I love camping, but when it is a family thing...I am not sure I would like that arrangement. Doesn't seem fair...

Well now that I know I'm not alone in my thinking than I will be more insistant that we stay at a hotel when this trip comes up.

In a word: NO! :o

Another vote for the Frying Pan ;)

As much as I love to camp, there is NO WAY in the world that I would go and stay all day by myself while DH was at his meetings when we could be staying in a nice hotel and eating in restaurants without it costing us much! Tigercat, I think that you need to go and have a nice holiday, and camping isn't the way to get it!
