Hi

I know that there are some other Disers who like to camp, so I'm looking for some help. I sent a booking form to our usual site yesterday and they are fully booked, my own fault I left it too late, but I was unsure if Ian was working until yesterday. I have tried everywhere and all fully booked, I now have a headache from trawling through websites.

Has anyone got any suggestions on places I could try, we don't want to travel too far as we are both working on Friday, basically all we are looking for is somewhere clean and within walking distance of a pub.

Any suggestions appreciated

Have you tried caravan and camping club sites? I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people have cancelled due to the bad weather recently. Whereabouts are you wanting to go?

we are looking for something not too far away Wendy, I have tried Brecon and all around that area, also Gloucester, Somerset and lots of places in Wales, everywhere is full !!

i can't help you jules...i left the planning to someone else ;) hope you manage to find somewhere x x

You don't want to go camping in this weather hun, you'll drown :scared1:

My friend and I and our two daughters went camping for a few nights last week (just about stopped laughing now:lmao: ). Although I suspect this will be too far, I would HIGHLY recommend this 5 star campsite - Highlands End at Eype near Bridport in Dorset. Beautiful, fantastic place, right on the cliff top, stunning views, indoor lush pool . . . even pitch and putt.

Sorry, don't know what their website is, but they do have one, they are part of a group of local campsites around the Weymouth./Bridport area.

Hope you find something.

I have a small patch of land out the garden, that Im willing to rent you, not much to look at Im afraid and the dog may pop in to keep you company, however Im not far away, will do you bacon buttys in the morning, provide you with a bowl of water for a wash, will blow up the inflatable pool so you can have a morning swim, thats on a bed and breakfast basis, for an additional fee you can of course have all inclusive which includes Breakfast butties, Ham Salad lunch and a Chilli/Curry evening meal with all you can drink from the fridge.(Im sure I have some 1989 Hofmister lurking in the back of the Ice compartment) Interested???:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

On a more serious note, I hope you do find somewhere for you to camp hon, I will keep my fingers crossed for you:hug:

Annie, thanks for your help that looks lovely, and I've written it down for the future. We were able to find something in Tenby which will let us camp for just two nights which is ideally what we wanted, most place ask you to stay for three over the Bank Holiday, I am glad you had a good laugh when you went. You must tell us some more about it.

Oh Sue I'm gutted, and Ian will be to when he sees what you were offering, why didn't you post this earlier :lmao:
All Inclusive, dodgy Hofmister and little Spike for company what more could we have wanted ! You didn't mention the cost though, bet you would have ripped us off :rotfl2:

We have found somewhere hon, we are going to Tenby on Saturday, it looks a nice site, I just want to chill out and read my book, whilst Ian burns burgers, so it serves the purpose.

Just been taking a look at Narberth on the web, its the nearest village to the CampSite - result they have a huge Croc Shop - JellyEgg, I will now need to shop as well as read and eat burnt burgers ...

Glad you got something sorted Jules - wish you were coming with us though :sad2:
