Campfire at FW

I want to go to the campfire with Chip and Dale. I'll be staying at POR and think it would be best to drive there in my car, and then take an "internal bus" to the campfire. Does anyone know where the bus stop or campfire is? The reason I'm driving my car is that we are going the first week of Nov., when the parks close earlier. Any other advice on how to get there by 7:00 and leave around 9:30 to go back to POR would be very much appreciated. We would be leaving from one of the parks.

I was only there 1 time but if memory serves me correctly...

You can park your car as soon as you pull into the Fort Wilderness Resort. The bus stop is right there. You cannot miss it. I would say that it is about 1 mile to the Chip and Dale campfire area. The route is straight down the main road of the campgrounds and the bus makes a few short stops. Hope this helps.

We went to Ft. Wilderness (staying at CSR) and it wasn't easy to find. Orange and purple buses pulled up after a 15 minute wait. Asked each driver about movie, neither knew. Thought it was "meadow spring' and got off at Meadow spring campground area and wandered around lost. Got on another bus and got to the meadow creek recreation area just as they were singing M-I c- etc.
Planning to try again this trip.

Another thought would be that since Hoop-dee-doo is held at Ft.W you could use that transportation route. Even during off season HDD is showing and people are being transported to and from Ft. W.

The campfire is a lot of fun!
