Coming from Michigan I will need to make this a 2 day trip. Most likely stopping in the northern Georgia area for the night. Rather then staying at a campground and having to set every thing up. We are going to opt for a hotel.

I want to stop somewhere where I can park the camper and not worry about anything getting stollen and being able to park my tow vehicle and my camper to begin with. (F-150/12' long pop up)

Any suggestions you regulars can give would be much appreciated.

That area (especially Ringgold) was just hit HARD by the tornadoes a few weeks ago. I would do some research and see what is open. You might want to look at Chattanooga or go furthur down to Adairsville or Cartersville.

Maybe someone who lives in the area can have more information than me.
