I'm going to be out in the Campbell/San Jose area for meetings and was looking for recommendations on things to eat and maybe even do in the evenings. I'm planning to see the Sharks one night, but the rest of my evenings are free. So have at it, what's some of the best places to go to?

Are you going to have a vehicle? The Walt Disney Family Museum is in San Francisco. If you're from around here this might not be the time to squeeze it in, but if you very rarely come this way you might consider it.
Winchester Mystery House? The architecture it truly stunning.

I can't comment on what is there now, but dh and I used to live in Los Gatos years ago, and there were some good restaurants there.

Agree on all accounts. I don't even know if the places I used to go to are still there. 😊

There's probably some decent places in Campbell now. There used to be some good stuff in Los Altos which is also cloae to Campbell but a lot of it all depends on where you are staying and if you have a car.

I 2nd the museum if you can get up to the city. It's a nice drive up 280 through golden gate park to get to.the presidio. I always found the traffic on 280 less crazy than 101 but my university was off it so it and 19th ave were my main north/south roads.

There's a Gordon Biersch down the road from the SAP Center. It was pretty good, but can get busy before Sharks games. My DH and I went to a Sharks game a few weeks ago and we ate at the Whole Foods that's on the other side of SAP Center. They have a restaurant above the whole foods with a decent selection of beer and a very small selection of hot food on game days. But you can go into Whole Foods, buy food in there, and bring it up to the restaurant area. My DH ordered a burger and garlic fries from the restaurant and he said the burger was really good, the garlic fries were so-so (which I agree with).

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions so far! I will have a car and I have been fortunate enough to go to San Francisco several times in the past. One of those trips included a trip to the Walt Disney Family Museum, which I agree was great.

Since you're going to have a car, you could also take a trip over to Santa Cruz/Monterey/Carmel area. All 3 places are super fun to visit.
