I have a digital camera but can't stand the way it takes pictures. It will take good pictures but the smallest movement will make it blur. I am guessing it has something to do w/ the shutter speed. I am now looking to get a new one of 4 mp or more..but I know nothing about shutter speed. What should I look for? And does this have anything to do w/ taking a motion shot?

The best advice I can give you is to take your camera to a Micro Center and ask. they seem to have really knowledgable sales people. I also like Circuit City and Best Buy.....

Aunt Lissa, If you can change the settings on your camera, try taking your pictures in the "sports" mode. I find that that helps mine!

yes there should be a motion/sports mode in the modes section. usually there's a little picture of a person running, and you want to be on that mode if there's any motion. also the more you zoom in, the more blurry it's going to be, so keep that in consideration. If you're going to get a newer camera, make sure it has the motion/sports mode, and ask the people at the store to show you how to get to it. I'd strongly advise reading the manual :p I know most people grab the camera out of the box and don't even acknowledge there is a manual, but it can be quite helpful if you sit and read through it. If you let us know what kind of camera you have now, I could probably look up the manual online and let you know how the sports mode works. Good Luck.

tricia.
