Camera Choices

Well here is a little history,

We had a Canon Powershot S3 is but it died, sent it too Canon, the opitcal zoom went. Going to cost $170 for the part total with labour $300. Needless to say that is more than the camera is worth now.

So here is my dilema we leave to DL in 18 days, we need to buy a new camera.

I would really like a DSLR but i don't think it's in the budget.


What would you recommend as a good camera, we have been looking at the new panisonic and the new Canon Powershot SX200 is

Any recommdations good or bad

Do you have a budget and do you want it to be a similar camera? Also, call Canon service back and ask about the loyalty program. It is basically them selling you a refurb camera for less than you can anywhere else. They do not come with full warranties, but you can get some good deals.
