I'm planning our first trip to DLR. Can anybody say anything about the Camelot Inn? I never see anyone mention it on these boards.
Thanks!

Chumpson's reply refers to "Castle Inn" it is not the same as Camelot Inn.

Camelot Inn used to be Park Inn and it is a very clean and well-run property. It is owned by the same corporation as Tropicana. Both continental breakfasts offer the same foods. We have stayed at Camelot Inn/Park Inn many times and actually prefer it over Tropicana. Camelot Inn is next door to McDonald's. We have stayed in regular rooms and in the family suite. It is a nice motel!!

I stayed at the Camelot back when it was the Park Inn and it was very nice. The thing I remember the most was that their 4th floor pool area was an incredible place to watch the fireworks. I normally prefer to watch them inside the park, but if you are too tired or have little ones, its very nice to have the option. In fact, just last night, my kids and I just watched our video we shot from that pool deck back in November of 2004.

Its also very convenient to McDonald's and Mimi's as well as other restaurants that can save you some money over eating in the parks.

I stayed at the Camelot Inn too, last July. I would be staying there again this July but I couldn't find a good rate!

We found the hotel to be just fine. The location is great.
