Any nice experiences at this hotel? I am thinking of doing this one next time around instead of Hojo because it's a little closer and my mom has a hard time walking all the way back to Hojo after walking for 12 hours lol...ok who's kidding. I do too hahaha.

No experience yet, I'm booked there in March, also for the proximity. I've heard that the "continental breakfast" is pretty sub-par, so don't make that a deciding factor, but I don't much care about that.

That'll be some money I won't have to spend in the park lol, so yay for breakfast!!

We stayed there last Feb and it was fine. Nothing fancy, but the location was awesome. The breakfast options were just eh, nothing amazing, but it is right next door to McD's and down the street from IHOP, so if you need something more substantial there are plenty of options. It was clean, although I found someone's cell phone under the couch in our king bed room, so I guess they didn't look under there when cleaning. But the bathroom was spotless, sheets and blankets clean, etc.

Really, we spent very little time in the hotel room - just there for naps for the baby and sleeping at night - and it worked fine for us.

When I went in 93 we stayed at the Motel 6 it was pretty amazing for a Motel 6. The distance was perfect. I'm hoping to plan a trip for July for my dd's 7th birthday so I'm curious on hotels. I'll be watching to see if anyone pipes in any experiences.

I was thinking I'd see about the Motel 6 since it is the only one I really know of. My brother and I drove over to Knotts Berry Farm in 2001 and did not book a room we ended up in some icky room with sticky carpet we were afraid to take our shoes off in.

OH and it will be July so I can imagine a busier time of year.

Oh my after browsing hotels on a map it had to have been Days Inn we stayed at. :confused3

We stayed there for the 50th and found it be just right. As stated the 'breakfast' is nothing special (but who's are?). After a 9hr drive the 4th floor pool was a nice toch to watch the firework and enjoy a cold one. :thumbsup2

For proximity, price and value, we have chosen to stay at the Desert Inn & Suites (1600 Harbor Blvd.) It is right across the street from the Disneyland main entrance. You get a free continental breakfast (which isn't fancy but for our family it filled us up until lunch time so it saved us some money). They have free wi-fi access, which was great for my DH to do some work while we were on vacation. We stayed there last September and on check-in they upgraded our room from a standard to a suite, which was really cool because we had a great view of California Adventure from our front window and a great view of Disneyland from our back window (we were even able to watch the fireworks.) We have booked this hotel again for January at $59/night :cool1:.

Stayed at the camelot for the first time in August. It was so much better than hojo, imo! Shorter walk. Nice big room! And the bathroom was much cleaner! :) We didn't do breakfast but it looked like cereals and such. We would stay there again if it's a last minute trip as we prefer to be onsite. This is the first place we'd choose though if we weren't able to. Hope you have a nice trip! :)
