Camelot Inn or the Anabella?

Hi All,

We will be spending a few days at Disneyland in October and currently have reservations at both of these hotels. If you had to choose between them, which one would you choose and why?

TIA!

Haven't stayed at Camelot. Have stayed at Anabella and we're staying there again. We really like Anabella, and you get a beautiful walk up Disneyland Dr and through the Grand into DTD.

MouseMom, I work at the Anabella. I just messaged you. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have! :)

If you're looking for a great hotel experience with nice grounds, nice rooms, or even suites at a good price, Anabella is the route to go. If all you need is a hotel close by to walk to at night, Camelot is the place. I just stayed at the Camelot, and we really like the proximity to the parks - super easy walk. However, the rooms were not in great shape, the service was OK, we had to valet park once, and the beds weren't the easiest to sleep on.

If you have a long trip, the Annabella suites might be just what you need to make it a relaxing trip. But don't discount what a short walk is worth at the end of the day.

Thank you all for your responses. It will be myself, DH and DS17. We really don't mind a longer walk if the hotel is nicer and we won't have any small children with us so the walk to the Anabella would be doable.

My main concern about the Anabella is that several reviews site noise issues, both from the street and the restaurant/bar at the hotel. Can anyone speak to that? I know that the Camelot Inn is right on Harbor so there is no guarantee we will have a quiet room there either.

What to do, what to do?

WE have stayed at both and I can't say we experienced a noise issue with either. The pool is certainly nicer at the Annabella but I usually now stay at the 4 hotels around the Camelot as we prefer being closer to the park.

I have NEVER had noise at Anabella, and don't even know how you could get street noise. The restaurant is in the main building, and I don't think there are rooms in there, so I don't understand that, either.

We stayed at the Camelot once when we needed a suite as there were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids. The price was right, and it was a short walk to the entrance, plus you have a great view of the fireworks show right from the balcony. I'd stay there again if I needed a suite. For our upcoming trip, all the DLR hotels were already booked for the DL half marathon. So we're staying at the Castle Inn for the first time (just the two of us), they have a really good military discount, and its still a short walk to the entrance.
