in price but better/closer.

A friend has it for 3 nights *Star Wars Weekend* trip ~ 3 nights at $105.

Sounds like he'll be sitting through a time share presentation...

Before we had kids ( phineas and ferb) the wife and I did the timeshare presentation and got one disney day and one universal day. Plus sayed a few of nights. Very nice resort with clean rooms similar to a standard hotel. Practice saying 'No thanks' and "we're not intersted' and I am sure you will do fine. Also consider staying away from the booze - even if it is offered for free! If you have to buy timeshare - make it DVC.

i saw this hotel

recently. Its reviews stink. anyone stayed here?

It was a few years ago, but we loved Calypso Cay.

We booked on hotels.com. That did not require a timeshare presentation. We saw people doing them, but you can book a room without that.

Clean, large rooms, decent pool. A place where you could grill your own food which could be a great money saver. Breakfast was mostly cold foods so not exciting, but adequate.

It was a tad tricky to find the first time, but once we found it, getting to the parks was easier than I'd expected.

Our adult kids joined us one night and they were pleased. Given that they both work at 5 star resorts in Naples, FL, that is a pretty good sign.

how far is the drive from there to mk or epcot? thanks:dance3:

I stayed a few years ago and was disgusted by it. There were no switch plates on the lights, paper peeling off the walls, dirty carpets, just worn down and dingy. Was afraid to sleep in the bed so we only stayed one night and left. DS liked the pool area. Have no recent information.
