Need to replace our 30 year old farberware fry pans as well as gift some to our kids.
What is the difference between Classic, Anodized, and ceramic?
The Ceramic ones do not get great ratings on Amazon.
Is Anodized better finish than Classic?

I would look into it but I know anodized surface could be harmful if starts peeiling and so is the classic ones.

We recently bought scanpan and we love them and are also free of the stuff that can be harmful.

I have had the Calphalon Contemporary hard-anodized set for five years now and still love them. We only use wooden or plastic/rubber utensils to avoid scratching. Haven't had any problems with peeling and they still look great. I have ceramic bakeware that works great, but I'm not a fan of ceramic cookware. Tried it years ago and had trouble with food sticking.

I just got the Calphalon Ceramic, it didn't have the best ratings. It is supposed to be free of all the toxins though. I have only used it probably 20 times, but so far so good. I used my 30% at Kohls and just got the large fry pan to try.

I had the Calphalon hard anodized ones for about 7 or 8 years, only used plastic or wood utensils on them. I replaced them last year with Calphalon stainless steel and love these more than the previous ones. They are easier to clean and I don't have to be as careful about the utensils.

I had the non-stick caphalon ones for about 10 years before the non-stick starting coming off. We loved them and got to ceramic to replace. I LOVE them (but have only had about 6 months)- so far so good.
