I know, I know.... There are no calories when your on vacation!! And especially when you're in the most Magical place on earth ;)
I fully believe in that, but sadly, my backside doesn't agree!!!

Does Disney put calorie info on their menu items?

I have never seen calories listed on a table service menu. I know for the kid's menus, they have the "check meals" that are more healthy than the other options. You might find some calorie information at counter service but I would think it would be rare to find it at table service. Best advice would be to use common sense and try to make healthy choices when ordering. You can always ask that things be prepared a certain way as well, hold the dressing, hold the sauce etc. Plus, you'll be burning off lots of calories with that all walking!

There was a time they experimented with putting calories on the menu at CHH. I found it very helpful. They discontinued it though.

No, and calling/ emailing to ask Disney won't get you anywhere either.
I use My Fitness Pal and look up information for similar meals elsewhere. It's not exact, but it helps keep it all in check for me.

No... thankfully lol. I don't want to know! I just want to enjoy on vacation.

I'm happy they don't. I've never eaten at PF Chang's (not that it's a big loss) because I saw the calories listed on their menus. Ignorance is bliss!

No, they don't. As someone who lost a lot of weight and being conscious of what I eat, I just try and pick my poison if you will. I try to eat healthily, yet leave myself some room to splurge and enjoy that dessert or heavier entree. I just don't indulge with every meal every day. I also know that I am going to gain a couple of pounds when I'm at Disney and just don't fret about it. After a couple of weeks back home my weight is back to where it was before the trip. Go, have fun, be a bit conscious, indulge a bit, use some restraint, and don't worry. Just my own personal experience over the past 7 years.

LOL. It was a joke.
Lol I know. Sorry. It’s kind of a touchy subject since I’m one of those who benefits greatly from knowing calorie counts. If people don’t care how many calories they are consuming, that’s fine. Just don’t look or disregard them. I don’t like having ignorance forced on me because other people may feel bad about eating something.

No worries! I get it, I just don't worry much on vacation. It's my time to indulge and makes up for the other 47 weeks of the year.

I wish they included them - it's challenging for me to dine without them and it drives me to eat offsite more and more.

You can find some on MyFitnessPal but I'm assuming someone just guessed when they uploaded the info on there.

If youre watching calories because you are on a strict diet and dont want to fall off the wagon, I understand. What I can promise you is with all the millions of miles you will walk on a Disney vacation you will be able to afford a few more calories. I eat full breakfasts (lucky to have time for cereal at home) and all dinners with dessert and some soda and a few ice creams and usually come back from Disney vacation down 5 lbs. My daughter wore her fit bit 90% of our last 11 day vacation and clocked 156 miles. That did not include all the the time (2 days 10am - 4pm) we spent at both waterparks, or swimming at our resort pool.

Yes. I don’t even need them on the menu if people are so afraid to see them. Buried in a website somewhere would be fine.

I average about 10 miles a day at Disney. A very general rule of thumb is that a 120 pound person burns around 65 calories per mile, so figure around 700 calories. One dessert can wipe that out. Also, not everyone can walk that much. If you take trams or just spend less time in the parks, you won’t hit that number of miles.

The other thing is that you probably aren’t eating the same at Disney as you would at home. At home, you know what you are putting in the food you are cooking. It’s not so easy with restaurant meals. There can be an unbelievable difference in calories between two of the same dishes depending on the ingredients used and how they’re prepared.

It’s great that you’re so active and don’t gain weight on vacation but the extra walking alone won’t do that for everyone. I wish Disney would accommodate people who need to be more careful about what they consume, even if they’re not on a strict diet.

Im not super active at home. I dont do any intentional exercising other than my normal running around doing errands, shopping, yard work, household chores etc.. Maybe that is why. My body is like woah...she's walking and swimming, lets reward her!

And for Disney posting nutritional facts, I bet not posting is strategic. No way would I eat some of the things I do there knowing the calories. I used to order an innocent turkey sandwich at Panera often until I found out it was 900 calories! One of the saddest days of my life. Same goes for the Strawberry Coolata at Dunkins..360 calories! Back to water :( My theory is what I dont know wont hurt me, but as soon as I know, I have to make the right decision.

When I vacation, I try most days to only eat out 1 meal a day. That way I can control what I'm eating. If I eat out 3 meals a day, my body just feels *ugh*. Breakfast in the room is super easy with access to a microwave/fridge (we are usually in a DVC room). We place an Amazon Prime Now order, as well as bring some food with us in our luggage (oatmeal, cereal, protein bars, bananas, apples, tuna, crackers, etc.). I buy sandwich stuff from our Amazon order and some days lunch and/or dinner is a sandwich & fruit. I realize that this isn't truly answering your original question, but I hope it helps =)

I do about as much walking as you and this doesn't even scratch the surface of enough exercise for me. If walking was the only exercise I got at WDW and ate what i wanted I come home 100 lbs up. Everybody is different.

Yes, but making the right decision doesn't necessarily mean all or nothing. It's possible I can be just as happy with a Panera item that is 400 calories as one that is 900, but I need to know which one is which. Your comment about the "innocent" turkey sandwich kind of proves my point. I remember choosing the grilled salmon at CHH over another item I would have preferred because I guessed the salmon had fewer calories. When the calories were posted, it turned out I was wrong.
