Calls back to the states

I know it is quite expensive to call from the ship back to the state. What is the best way to call back home once at St. Martin and St. Thomas? Can you use an international calling card? Where can you buy one?

- We used our regular calling card to make a call from the phone booths on the pier next to the ship.
We didn't try calling from St. Marteen.

Hi,
We purchased a card at one of the stores in the shopping area in St. Thomas. It was only $5.00 for a 100 minutes and it did not have a connection fee. We just had to pay 50 cents for the pay phone.

There is a sundries shop at the end of the dock at St Maarten. Buy a long-distance card there and use it at a nearby phone. You will have little-to-no luck using U.S.-purchased phone cards in St Maarten.
