Probably busy due to people calling to make a resort change. Poly resort will be undergoing a refurb.

I have no reason to call but I just did for the heck of it.
I said make a reservation and then hit 0 for all other prompts and was on hold for maybe 10 seconds.
I'm sure I would have been placed on a hold after explaining the reason for calling if I had one so they could do whatever they need to do but as far as getting through to a person I never have to wait.

More than that, Disney announced several incentive offers through Christmas, lots of people re-booking their trips to take advantage of the discounts or booking new trips today.

I called this morning at 10:45 about an existing reservation and was on hold may be 3 minutes.

Someone else on another board said it took 4 hours, but they did eventually get their reservation switched to the discount.

I called and was on hold for 2 hours and 40 minutes this morning before I reached a cast member.

Try the chat feature on the disneyworld.com website, the CMs that respond to the online chats also work for Disney Reservations.

that chat feature seems to always be disabled/unavailable everytime I go to use it.

I tried the chat today to modify my ressie and they could not do it. They only directed me on how to do it online. Ended up having to call and waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before getting to a cast member. The wait was worth it. Was able to upgrade from CBR to Yacht Club with very minimal up charge with the new package deals.

that's good. I've been trying the last few days to get help on an issue and it was never available.
