Calling Swan/Dolphin experts!!

Considering staying at Swan/Dolphin this summer...it would be our first time at a non-disney resort...but with a government discount it is becoming more appealling!!

I've read thru the thread S/D thread and I'm having a difficult time deciding which one would be a better choice....there are 3 of us DD7, DH 36 and me 32....I'd like to have a good view of Epcot...but want to stay at the better resort... I understand both will be renovated by 8/03...any help on deciding?? Thanxs!

recommend the Dolpin. Great location and incredible view of Epcot if in the East Wing facing Epcot. Was just there 2 weeks ago and was VERY impressed with everything!

I agree with Kapp. I do love both resorts equally but for your first stay with an Epcot view I would go with the Dolphin.

Since you guys have stayed and both and our family is having a hard time deciding too. What do you think of the resorts in comparsion to "other" disney resorts. My logic at this point is to book S/D and if any AP rates come out switch to a Disney resort. I'm just a little nervous the family maybe disappointed in not staying "disney." Thanks for you input!

Mep--S/D is right next to the Beach Club and the Boardwalk. You really can't get any more Disney than that. We could see Tower of Terror from our room, and my in-laws could see the Epcot ball from theirs. You are so close to Epcot and MGM via boat or walking, and the bus to MK/AK is great. It's a deluxe hotel with Westin's signature Heavenly Beds. You have ALL the perks of a Disney resort, except you can't charge to room from the parks, which I wouldn't do anyway.

Okay. For the price I can't turn it down. But which one? That is my problem now Swan or Dolphin? I like the idea of the Swan b/c of the larger beds and 2 sinks. But I would like a nice view. Which one???!!??
