Sorry I shouted, but I am very excited!

Estelle – Not to worry, I am very good at keeping secrets. I am so glad that you can meet me a Sue’s.

Jessica – Welcome to the boards. I’m glad that you will be joining our trick or treating fun.

Halloween custom update - DS finally picked out a custom – He is going to be a pirate. We also placed our first E-bay order the other night. Got DS a tux for the two formal nights. We were not having any luck finding him a suit and wanted one as I am hoping for a real nice family formal picture that I can frame and display. Turns out buying a boys Tux on e-bay is cheaper then renting one. After the cruise we are hoping to be able to sell the Tux again on E-bay and recoup some of our investment.

Lynne

Welcome Jessica, you are going to LOVE the cruise!!

I GOT MY CRUISE DOCUMENTS TODAY!:D

:Pinkbounc WELCOME ABOARD JESSICA!! :Pinkbounc

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ESTELLE AND PHIL! 28--wow!
Can you tell me the bathing suit website?
Give my best to Sue and say HI to Lynn for me at the Tuesday "meet". Fun that you will have met LYNN when we board and I have already met GINGER :)

EMMA: Catering course? at the college? tell me more.

ROBIN SMALLBURROW: Way to go with the bugs!!

Congrats to all who got their docs. We did not.

Jan :earsgirl:

Welcome Jessica!!

Sounds like the bugs are coming along Rory.

Thanks Jan. The web site for the bathing suit is: worldwideaquatics.com. Seemed to have a decent collection of different sizes and styles.

Lynne-- looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday. Sounds like your DS will be one of the best dressed young men on the ship. Sounds like a decent bargain.

DH says we have to start making a packing list and checking to see how everything fits. I didn't have the heart to tell him I already did that, at least the list part. He is still mentioning a steamer trunk every time the subject of packing comes up. Can't wait to see how much he plans to bring. I think he thinks he can pack light and leave room in his suitcase for gifts. Boy is he in for a surprise.

Oh, well have to get off line now in case TA calls to tell me to come and get the magic papers. Very little pun there. Estelle

5 weeks from today! 5 weeks from today! 5 weeks from today!

I'm not sure if that is excitement or a total freak-out chant! We move 7 weeks from today so that has me totally freaked out too! And I have 4 more trips to OK in that timeframe as well. Lucikly they're all short 2 day trips and I don't travel at all from Oct 16 until we leave on the 25th.

This weekend we are pulling out the cruise box and starting to organize (and dare I say it?) PACK!! All the non-clothing stuff will be set aside and ready to go. I'll start on the known clothing too.

Lynne I've been looking at the ebay tuxes for DS and haven't found just the right one yet - I've also reviewed the flower girl dresses for DD - I figure this is my one and only chance for ALL of us to be dressed just so for pics!

Welcome Jessica!

Has anyone that used DU gotten docs? I haven't heard anything, but it seems so early yet so I'm not worried either.

I think that's it for now. Have a great weekend everyone

The problem's not the lesson, I wouldnt have taken it if I disliked it, its the people. They are as thick as pig **** and are always being obnoxious and running riot. We're expected to get a C, now at the end of the day, Im not in it for a C I want an A.

Jessica-Welcome aboard. Im Emma, the other 14 year old on here

Im off to my party tonight, cant wait it's gonna be great (I hope).

I cant believe how dosey I am! My english homework was a piece of display work so I thought Id put it in my maths book so it didnt get creased. The lesson before english was maths and guess who handed her maths book in!

Has any1 read Silas Marner by George Elliot? Does it get any less boring as it continues? We're doing it in english and its so boring!

Unfortunately, Emma, no it is just dull all the way. I think I slept thru most of it. Estelle

The office called me and our docs have arrived there. I'm heading there now to pick them up. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
WELCOME ABOARD **STARRY-CHAN**

Jan I love that little kitty, I can't wait to show it to Ashley.

Rory we have tons of ugly big bugs. I would bring you some but I don't know how to preserve them till we meet you.

Have a great weekend everyone.:D

I already offered bugs to Rory but we think there would be a problem getting them on and off the ship, even in little jars, as they might be considered carriers of bad diseases for plants and animals since they had been to the Caribbean. The bugs are supposed to be "terminated" in a certain fashion and immediately mounted on pins, so she decided she will have to do it on her own. I could EASILY send a colony of yellow jackets for starters. Tom suggested I just put them in a peanut butter jar and mail it for her to do the killing and mounting. RORY--If you are game, I am too.

ESTELLE: I like that, MAGIC DOCUMENTS :) Neat.

EMMA: I actually liked SILAS MARNER but I think it depends on the teacher. If you could sit down and read it straight through like it was a mystery--which it is--where did Eppie come from and what happened to the gold?--you would like it better I think. In fact, why don't you try that this weekend. Read it all, straight through, for the fun of it. Then read the assignment parts when assigned. Unfortunately, analyzing the story chapter by chapter takes a lot of the magic out of it. I cannot imagine that LORD OF THE RINGS would be as interesting if read that way either.
Did you get the English assignment out of the Math book in time?

DEBBIE: Hang in there. You can do it girl!! Way to go!! (Do you feel better now?) A flower girl dress for DD for the formal night is PERFECT. You are so clever--you and LYNN to use e-bay to dress the kids!!

LYNN: Neat idea for DS to be a pirate!! Will you get parts of his costume in MICKEY'S MATES on the ship, like the eye patch, hat and sword, so they are souvenirs also?

I picked up Tom's suit from the cleaners Wednesday. We are thinking of leaving it in the cleaner's bag and packing it as is so it will crease less. He looks spiffy in a regular suit. One Tux for a lifetime is fine with him and I don't mind. He wore one for the wedding 33 years ago, so it's suits from here on in.

Jan :earsgirl:

Jan - Ahh! Yellow Jackets! I would be game, really, except I think I'd freak at the sight of them. It was a joy really to kill the Wasp. I hate things that sting or bite or even fury rodents that squeek. (My guinea pigs are driving me nuts! Too bad they dont count as 25 bugs!) Anyway, my science teacher says that he thinks the bugs would get through customs. Hey, why not try it?

Emma - Have fun at the party. Sorry, but I've never read that book. abd okay, I'll stop counting down.:(

"Ginger" - Thanks for the offer.

Jess - Welcome cuz! Be seeing you in 34 days! (oops! Sorry Emma!)

Has anyone tried the new sour altoids? They come in citrus and tangerine flavour. They are SOOOOO good!

Okay, I already asked Jan this, but does everyone know what a chad is? I need to know for my "item". (No, Jan, I am still not telling you or NE1 else.

"Welcome Aboard Jess"

Rory - I read on another thread you saw Sid Caesar at WDW. Was it back in December 1994 at MGM Studios? We saw him then. If so, maybe we saw you back then. Patty

:earsgirl:

, I already asked Jan this, but does everyone know what a chad is?

Main Entry: chad
Function: noun
Etymology: origin unknown
Date: 1947
: small pieces of paper or cardboard produced in punching paper tape or data cards; also : a piece of chad

Is this the type of chad you are talking about? The infamous chad of the last presidential election!!! That's the only chad I know about (except the guy named Chad ;) )

Its Ok, you may count! Im too tired to be bothered today anyway. Party was brilliant, it was mainly four hours of kareoke, dancing and laughing. I decided what to wear about 2 hours before I was supposed to leave and then had a fit about whether to wea shoes I couldn't walk in that looked good or trainers that looked stupid. I went for the first option.

I would read it but I have a few other pieces of homework to do so I dont think I have time. And no, I didnt get my english homework back because I had maths then english straight after. My teacher was OK about it though, I always do my homework and it was only display work.

Im sorry, Im still thinking bugs ew! And mounting them on PINS? Argh!

Ennazus ~ Yes, that is the Chad I was thinking about. Good! hehehe!

Emma ~ The bugs are disgusting. And pinning them is worse! I'd go into details, but I think they might give you nightmares. I know I get em! Glad you had a great party!

Chad (chad) country in north central Africa: 496,000 sq. mi.:

Rory I have a herd of Praying Mantis to go with Jan's bees. When I worked for the US Postal Service we handled the delivery of live honey bees often. As long as their queen is happy they are.

oops! Forgot someone!

Pallamb: Yes, I believe that was the same time. That's really cool! We have pictures. Maybe you're in them?

"Ginger" and Jan: If you want you can bring them on the cruise. I will have my bug killing (that still sounds harsh) kit with me.

I have to go. Our basketball game is in 2 1/2 hours, but I have to be there early to watch the little ones play. (They are so cute!) Well, I do live right next to my school, but you have to get as seat!

I have this thing about pins it's one thing I cant stand. You know when people put safety pins and things through the first layer of their skin... Urgh, it goes through me! Much to my friend's delight. Actually, one of my friends was telling me that sum1 they know sewed their name into their finger. Argh!

Re: Bugs...
My son LOVES bugs!! If anyone really has some on the ship, please let us know so he can check them out! He might even help you kill them if you show him how. LOL I bet he'd like to see your bug killing kit.

Sure, I'll have my bugs on the cruise, but they'll be locked up in the safe! If anyone does want to see them (I really don't see why) I can show them.

About the pins, I used to put them through the first layer of my skin, but now I think it's really gross, but just the other day a classmate (that sits next to me) put a bug pin through the first layer of skin ON HIS FOREHEAD! I thought I would gag! Of course all the guys were laughing their head off. Ew Gross!
