Calling DVC while at WDW???

We will be home in December. During our trip, it will be the 11 month window for Nov 05 trip and the 7 month window to switch our July 05 trip. I don't anticipate being in the room at 9:00 am when MS opens.

Has anyone called DVC while at WDW? Is it as easy as making Priority Seating at any guest services window? Are we able to do it at a DVC sales booth?

Anyone else do this? (we don't have a cell phone.)

You can call MS right from your phone at a DVC room. MS will also make PS for you. The sales booths are not for anything but sales. If you are not in your room find a pay-phone and dail the 800 MS number from there.

I have called while at WDW, but I used a cell phone. I am pretty sure the kiosks cant handle reservations...

We called from our room - it's as easy as everyone says.

If you are not going to be in your room and you don't have a cell phone, you do have a bit of a challenge! If I were in that situation and couldn't be in the room or near a resort house phone, I think I would do some checking ahead of time.

For example, if we planned to be eating breakfast, I'd stop by and see where the phones were. FWIW, I don't recall seeing anyone in the DVC booths right at 9 - I know they don't open that early on the Boardwalk (in early December, anyway).

If I were going to be in a park, I'd hang around the public phones until after I called.

All that assumes that I need to call right at 9 am when the 7 month window opens. If not, I'd just keep an eye out for a phone during the day and call when ever it was most conveninet.

We called MS from our room at OKW several years ago to make room reservations for 32 people for DD's wedding - not only did MS make those reservations, but they also made airline reservations for us and we had the tickets delivered to our room by 5 pm the same day (back when you actually got paper airline tickets LOL)!!!!!!! Absolutely the best service ever!!!!

We have also made reservations with MS from a payphone in Universal's CityWalk LOL!!!!!!
