Anyone stayed at Boardwalk recently? What is the condition of the rooms at this resort? Hubby and I are considering a "splurge" one-night stay there on an upcoming business trip. Don't want to spend the $$$ on this resort if the rooms are shabby.

Anyone know when the resort last underwent a refurbishment on the rooms?

Thanks!

Allears says that there is a major pipe replacement project going on there through this summer {BWV} with no work going on in the guest rooms, but there may be some noise on the 2nd and 3rd floors between 9AM and 5PM, Mon.-Fri. Outside of that, I know they have re-done the outsides of the buildings recentley, and the times we have stayed there, last April and Sept. of 2004, the rooms were in real good condition.

Just clarifying for dizneyfan -- that's on the DVC timeshare side of the resort, not the BoardWalk Inn side of the resort.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn for eight nights in June. We had a great standard room (4278) that overlooked a quiet courtyard. On the nights we were in the room between 9:00 and 9:30pm we had great views of the Epcot fireworks right from our beds. The room was in excellent condition. It was great having the refrigerator in the room. We will definitely be wanting to stay again in the future at the Boardwalk.

BWV= Boardwalk Villas=Disney Vacation Club rooms. I forgot that the abbreviations may not be familiar to everyone.

We stayed at the BWI in February in a standard room with a balcony overlooking a nice courtyard. We LOVED the BWI and are planning to return in January. Our room was in excellent condition - no problems at all.

Just stayed at Boardwalk last month. I actually prefer it to either the Beach Club or Yacht Club. Rooms are airier and much better decorated. Go ahead and splurge, you'll enjoy it.

Have fun.

The Boardwalk, without a doubt, is our favorite resort! If money weren't an issue, we'd stay there every time. We've been to the Grand Floridian & Yacht Club, among others. The Boardwalk wins hands down.

We just came home from the BWI yesterday, it was amazing! We had a waterview room, overlooking the boardwalk. The room was very nice and large for a family of 4. The pool was great(especially the slide),food was good at ESPN and Spoodles.
