Been reading about all these Gigs a lot of you are off too and am envious (Daren't tell Bryn about Kev seeing Green Day, he'd sneek into your pocket if he knew where you lived!!).

So, how come you get all these tickets? Why is it I only get to hear about them when everything is sold out??!! Is there a good website which gives you early notification of gigs or do you just sign in on the official groups website who then notifies you.

I'd love to see the Scissor Sisters and also Daniel Bedingfield whilst Bryn is a huge Feeder fan.

Can anyone help?! I'm feeling all gig deprived!!

Ta ever so.

Astrid

Hi Astrid,

Generally the best place to find out about tour information for bands is on their official websites or fansites.

I heard about Green Day in our local paper because they were coming to Plymouth which made it highly newsworthy in the local area. The U2 tour has been talked about in the media for a long time now and it was well known that they would be touring this year, it was just a case of waiting for dates to be announced and the tickets to go on sale.

If you are looking to find out more about which bands are currently touring then use Ticketmaster. I have done a quick search just now and I notice that both Feeder and Daniel Bedingfield are touring this March.

I hope that helps to relieve you of your gig deprivation :)

Alan.

Hi, Astrid :wave2:

I subscribe to www.pollstar.com. You sign up for your favourite bands and they email you as soon as a tour date is announced (and for subsequent additions). I often receive emails before the information is announced on the bands' official websites. We got Motley Crue tickets and my brother got Stix tickets this way (i.e. before any announcements on the bands' sites).

Last year I put a post on the DIS about The Darkness playing at Hard Rock Live long before the information seemed to be available anywhere else.

Thanks so much for all the tips and also the great links - all now put into my favourites!

Hopefully I won't now be the last to know about what's happening gig wise (and who knows it could be me next posting about who I'm off to see!).

Thanks again guys.
