I hope this is the right place to post this. If not, sorry.

Every time I go on the dvc website to access my membership info I get an error code that says, "Domain Name Mismatch". Then it states that the security certificate belongs to another address other than dvc.

I called MS about this and they said that they don't see a problem. I'm worried that someone else will get my member info. Should I be concerned? Do you think this is my computer? I seem to think it's not my computer because the error code also says to cancel connection and contact the site administrator about the problem.

Please help! TIA

I am not getting this message, but I am getting the security message...I noticed it yesterday and today.

Not sure what may be wrong here without more information specific to your machines but I can tell you with absolute certainty that the Disney security certificate for www.dvcmembers.com is current and that I have verified its integrity. I am a network security and design specialist for what it's worth.

I would NOT login until you find out what the problem is. Are you using IE? What ver?

Thanks for responding Bob. I'm not computer literate at all. I know how to turn it on and off and that's it. That's pathetic, I know.

I'm using Mozilla. Have been now for about a year. Always had problems with IE so I don't use it anymore. No problems now, except this one of course.

What security message are you getting? Thanks.

I've heard of this error using firefox. If so, try IE.

Again, if it's Firefox, they are aware of this issue & there's an add-on you can download that will override this error at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2131. The 1st time you access the site after the download you will receive the message - Give it the OK & it will remember the mismatch so you're not prompted by the message again.

I get the same message: Security Error: Domain Name Mismatch. I have firefox too.

I will show the previous post to my husband because "no speaky" what you just said.

I am using IE. I just checked it again, it happens after I click on to check my points. It states that the name for the site doesn't match. I am not a computer savy person, I have never received this warning until last night.

See, it's not just my computer. The CM at MS insisted that it was my computer.

I am a Systems Admin for a large insurance company, and I can tell you that it is a problem with the DVC Member website. I have re-created the errors in several different environments here (IE, Firefox, Windows 2000, XP, etc.).

This is not an issue with anyone's home computer, but it is a minor glitch in the member website - and not anything to be overly concerned about.

I thought everyone was seeing it at the login page (see my re: above). you're right, as you dig it does go bogus. I never dug past the login page initially.

The certficate is valid. It appears to be a wildcard or installation problem at go.com for the site cert.

You are right. It's not a problem anyone here can do anything about. Equally, it's nothing anyone should worry about. The site is secure.

I just upgraded my IE to Ver 7... I went to the DVC web site... the warning message didn't come on. Maybe my Version was too old.

Thanks everyone. I'll go to the site now and see what happens. I'm glad it's not my computer and nothing I should be worried about.

Thanks for helping me. I appreciate it.

That part of the website is down again today. I wonder if they are looking into the problem? They were just down for 2 days ago for the whole day so something's up.

I just tried to connect to DVC just now and when I clicked on my points I got the same error message - the certificate was something like a2478.akamai.com - something like that

I accepted the certificate and seemed to work - the URL was not a hijacked url or phishing url

Mule

I'm using Firefox
