I'm new to the Vera Bradley scene and now loving it and I have two questions.

The first one, Wrenthem outlets is having a Vera Bradley side-walk sale, will it be worth my time to go, it's not that far away and I'm eyeing two garment bags, what should I expect from a side-walk sale.

Second will I find any good sales on.line or in stores between now and Christmas. I'm looking for two items in pretty paisley, the garment bag and wristlet and I'd love some type of sale on the garment bag and just wondering if its something that I will see between now and then.

Thanks from a VB newbie.

I have been to the outlet store in Wrentham. They sell mostly discontinued patterns. I'm not sure if the Paisley print you are looking for is a current fabric. If it is from one of the new lines it probably won't be at the outlet. As a new store that opened in June, not sure what they would put in a sidewalk sale. Hope this helps you decide!

My best friend has been to Wrentham JUST to go to the Vera outlet three times this summer. She has had great luck finding things taht she likes. She says you can't go in saying "I NEED this item inthis pattern" but if you go in with an open mind, you will find all kinds of stuff at great prices.

I don't live in RI anymore, so I haven't been... (although, i can't complain, Vera is headquartered right here in my current town and we have that MASSIVE clearance sale every year. People fly here from all over the country!).

I agree with not going in to the store with anything particular in mind. Having said that, it is so worth it to just go and browse. I am 5 minutes from the Wrentham outlets and have been too many times to mention. :scared1:

The prices are very good and worth a ride over. :thumbsup2

I get emails from VB for their online sales but you never know when or what will be on sale.

I'm looking for two retired patters for garment bags, only because they are cheaper and I do not have my heart set on any particular pattern, besides a color that I'd like, but I wasn't sure if their side-walk sales are a further reduction of everything in the store or just certain things. Now it's trying to find something to do with my kids while I run there. I want the garment bags as I think it will be perfect for dance recitals, but something that they will have forever.

Regarding the older one wanting Pretty Paisley, I know I won't find that in the outlet, but I'm going to wait for hopefully a decent sale at some point to take the ouch off paying full price.

If you aren't already, you should "like" them on facebook. When they do have online sales they are usually posted there hours before the email comes out! I agree with pp's, going in with an open mind and wallet will bring you out happy :)

Also, don't be afraid to check out e-bay for these items. Sometimes I've gotten a bargain on a "used" item . Many times, the luggage and travel accessories especially, will be used one trip or two and sold because it's not what the user really needed. And because now its not "new" it's not something a lot of people will consider buying so it sells for much less money and still has tons of life left in it. This definitely was the case for my XL duffle, ditty bag and round makeup/train case. :thumbsup2

the VB facebook page said what would be on special at the sale this weekend. I am going down on Friday.
I think on sale specials were on.. a lunch bag, a wristlet, the hipster, and a backpack.
I would double check with the facebook page.

good luck shopping.

I am on the hunt for some green cupcake items to complete my travel set!
