Hey, Fellow DISers!!! :wave2:

I am turning 30 this coming Sunday (Sept. 3), and my DH and I are going to celebrate/mourn in Vegas! :woohoo:

For my actual birthday, we have gotten tickets (front row) to go see David Copperfield!!! pixiedust: This is sooo awesome for me, because I have been fascinated with David since I was a kid. My parents and I would watch every show on TV! I am sooo excited to see him live. Well, I am bound and determined to go on stage!!! :teeth: I mean I want to go on stage sooo bad! Anyone out there been to his show, gotten on stage, and/or have any tips for me to help get me on stage?

Much appreciation!! :flower3:

I don't have an answer, but i'm bumping, as I'd like to read the responses.

We go to vegas all the time - but I've never seen David Copperfield.
Has he got a permanent gig in Vegas now? - or just headlining for a bit?

I did hear a story about him from a guy at Caesar's -
but I won't repeat it because your a fan.

Try to see any of the Cirque shows!
O - just great!
Ka - amazing
I have not seen the new Love
based on the Beatles music but it souds great.

Just wanted to say see you there!!! :) But i'll be there for work. :(

We went to the show a few years ago and thought it was awesome!! Unfortunately, I have no idea how you'd get on stage. Have fun and Happy Birthday :)

When he appeared here at Foxwoods all of the audience participation parts were pre-arranged. I was on friendly terms with the CEO's secretary. She took part and confirmed that everyone was selected and rehearsed beforehand.

I, too, have a lot I could say about David Copperfield and his performance, but since you're a fan I'll let you make up your own mind. Let's just say I was unimpressed and DH won't even watch him any more.

If you get the opportunity to see the Beatle's LOVE, go! It was tremendous! Just be prepared--the seats are tiny. We went to one of the preview shows and learned that lots of people were complaining about the seats--and not just overweight people. The show was wonderful, and well worth the time and money.

The biggest laugh of the night, occurred as we were leaving. We overheard a young girl (late teens, early twenties) remarking, "The show was really good, but those fake British accents were awful!" I wanted to tell her that she was listening to an actual recording of the Beatles voices, but decided to mind my own business. DH and I still chuckle about it.

oh if you love david you got to see lance burton.... he was so awsome also!!! I love las vegas.

as far as getting on stage, i saw him in atlanta and he did get a lot of people on stage that sat actually in the back of the place. mostly was kids though.

I've seen David Copperfield's show and I believe it is all pre-arranged. I really don't think it's possible for you to be chosen from the audience.

Have a good time and Happy Birthday!

I'm going to Vegas on Monday - can't wait!

We saw him about 9 years ago in Vegas, and he did pull up two women out of the audience, but I don't remember where they were sitting, and I don't know if it was pre-arranged. But, at the end of the show, he did a trick where he made a large group chosen from the audience disappear. That wasn't pre-arranged, because the threw about 15 beach balls into the audience, and we were supposed to bat them around until he said stop. The people left holding the balls were the ones who got to be in the trick. I came close to catching one at the right time, but the woman in front of me intercepted it!!!

When my hubby and I went to their Vegas show...two years ago?...we bought the picture that they made. WOOT! :) It's hanging up in our bedroom now. Love it, love it!

It's similar to this one, but we have ours framed:
