Calling all super-planners!

Now, I am an unusually over-organized person, and planning is one of my favourite activities, but somehow I managed to remain oblivious to two (apparently) popular planning methods.

So, to bring me up to speed, I was hopign that someone could exlpain to me a) what these "index cards" that everyone wants to make are and b) what the spreadsheets that everyone's obsessing over is.

I can't believe I even have to ask this question... well, there goes my "micro-manager" reputation

The index cards are little index cards with all your information you might need on them. ADRs, EMHs, etc.

Planning spreadsheets typically keep your budget, EMHs, ADRs, ressies, etc straight.

I made a OneNote notebook to keep track of everything all in one place.

If you want a copy of any of those things, you can typically ask on the thread and get a copy sent to you.

I get large (6X9) index cards, and list the park hours/EMH schedule, fireworks times, and ADR info on it. I have one card per day. I am anal about the cards, and color-code them (park hours listed in green, ADR info in blue, etc.). It's a fun way to plan!

I use the index cards also for our first trip earlier this yeay, we are now going back inJune and I am already working on another set. I have a card for each day with all the info I need for that day, parks, ADR;s, shows and parade times, I also have a card for each flight day with airline informaion and cards with touring plans. I put a small ring through them together, and I laminate them so they don't get gross. then I pull out the card for that day and stick in the bag when we go. I used the clear plastic pouch that our package info came in to hold misc loose papers that we needed such as magic express info etc. I am totally disorganized and managed the whole week without being lost or late once!
