DH and I are thinking of visiting WDW for our 15th anniversary in early June. No kids. We always go during low times and just wondering, if it is very crowded this early in the summer? THX!

I will never go again in June!! It was too hot and crowded!! We went as soon as the kids got out of school and by that time so did everyone else!! I am from Michigan so anything over 70º is hot! LOL It was too crowded. As you can see from my trip ticker we are going in 9 days so..we will see how Feb. is going to be!! But as you will see, everyone has their own opinion!! Go when ever you can! If someone payed for a trip for me in June, yep, I would go again!! :jumping2:

I've been down there the very first week fo June the past 2 years (for business reasons, supposedly... ). The first year it was sunny the whole time but so incredibly hot that after waiting for about 15 minutes in the sun for Off Kilter (who I had wanted to see for several years), I had to get up and leave after about 3/4 of their first song and go into Canada to cool off. The crowds were REALLY low, though.

Last summer was rainier and cooler (but please remember that cooler in FL in the summer is a relative term). This time I took a friend who had never been to WDW before, and we managed to whip through all the parks in 3.5 days (including one late night at MK). Again, the crowds were really low and we had a GREAT time, except for one moment at AK when we both thought we would spontaneously combust (but the quick application of a Mickey Bar prevented anything too tragic from happening).

For the last two years I've gone the second week of June and probably won't again if I can avoid it. It's hot, muggy, a bit crowded and very rainy. This past June it was really more than just rainy, there were heavy thunderstorms with lots of lightening and downpours. We walked in rain up to our ankles getting to our PS at Teppanyaki (Japan World Showcase). Never got to see Fantasmic due to rain.

We are WDW pros and know how to use FastPasses, get there early, leave in the afternoon for the pool then return at night. But even getting to the parks at opening we would be soaked in sweat just waiting for the gates to open. It was a bit crowded but doable. I can't say we had trouble with lines or anything, it was mainly the heat & humidity that just drained us. And it's just so hard to plan around all that rain. Rides would shut down, hard to get to PS's, huddling under shelter with other wet ponchoed folks.

Like I said, we'd do it again if it was the only choice, but there's just better times to go.

If you can hold off until the end of October that's a good time to go. It's still warm, crowds are lower, we had no rain but it's possible it could still rain I guess. Plus, the Food & Wine Festival is going on and that's always fun for adults to do.

We really enjoyed our trip at the end of January, first of February last year too. It was a little cool for us to swim but we weren't interested in swimming anyway. Others were swimming though. The crowds are nonexistant and perfect touring weather as far as temps go. I hope we have the same luck this year.

We too will be traveling in early June, as I am a teacher and must go in the summer. I would rather go in June than not go at all! We have no children and therefore, can easily change plans, etc. We can't wait, no matter what the weather!!

We're going to be at Pop Century June 4-14 and we're excited about it!!! We were there last year June 11-18 and I don't remember it being too hot or having much rain at all. Of course, I am 40 now and my memory isn't what it used to be!!!

I went the first week of June 2004 (left the 10th). MK was the busiest, and we went early and left after lunch the two days that we went. Although we used fastpasses and barely waited in line, we did have a hard time getting around as the week wore on. Because of it we decided to move our vacation to the slow season, and are going again in a few days.

As for the weather, it was a mixed bag. Some days were cooler than others with some short rains, but we had two days where we wilted from the heat (and, at that point, we were travelling from Puerto Rico so we were fully acclimated to the weather). Although I would definitely consider going again in early summer, my mother and sister swore that they wouldn't do it again if they could avoid it.

Hope this helps!!

I am a teacher too so there isn't much of a choice. We went last year the first week of June and it rained SO much! We were bummed because we went to our Fantasmic dinner package and waded around (ankle deep for 2 hours) in the rain waiting for Fantasmic and it was cancelled. Tried again the second night and the Stars and Motor Cars parade was cancelled, my son was sad and so was I and Fantasmic was cancelled again due to a Thunderstorm. Did get one nice night in at MK, it was crowded but we used Fastpass. Day at AK was unbearably hot! A fan with a mister was a must. We are returning the same time this summer, we try to beat the crowds by getting there the first week of June, I'm just praying to see more this year (Fantasmic and Stars and motorcars would be great) and that it doesn't rain as much. Showers are fine, but this was an incredible amount of rain that lasted all evening long on two nights.

Sure it is hot, sure it rains every afternoon and yes there are more people there than in Feb... but it is June in Florida.. so that is just to be expected.

We go every year at that time and love it. The crowds are really not that horrible.. just be smart (use EMH, fast pass, midafternoon breaks, avoid the MK on the weekend, drink lots of WATER) and you will have a great time. I think it will be even easier for you because you won't have hot cranky kids.

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary.
