Don't tell me we're on the ship all alone! Hey, I'd love to have the Magic crew and CMs all to myself, but it wouldn't be as much fun, would it? Maybe you're all just shy and were waiting for someone to start the early roll call. Well, here goes...

Let me be the one to start with the introductions! I'm a single mom with 3 wonderful boys 12, 14 and soon to be 17. The reason for this trip is to celebrate graduations. Eldest DS will be graduating high school and youngest DS will graduate middle school next year. Joining us will be extended family which includes my lovely younger sister, her husband, my SIL, her hubby and my one and only niece who will be 5 when we go and the perfect age for Disney!

We've been looking forward to this trip since shortly after we returned from WDW. My 16 year old said he wanted to go on the cruise as a grad gift. We planned on July '07 but as we all know, it wasn't to be since the Magic will be in the Med during that time period. I booked a 4 day Wonder but wasn't very excited. Then when we found out the Magic would resume it's regular itinerary on Sept. 1st, I cancelled and rebooked. We're so excited and I've been planning, planning, planning ever since.

So enough about me. Anyone else out there going, introduce yourself!

We are on this cruise too!

There will be 9 of us - Tom and Melissa (me) and our 5 kids and my parents (Nana and Poppy). Kids - boys will be 16, 11, 8, 5 and daughter will be 10.

party: Yay, someone finally posted! Seems like your kids are similar ages as the ones in our group.

Yes, all the way from sunny California (although not so sunny today). The flight isn't too bad, a little over 5 hours on a direct. Last trip hurricane Charley threw a kink into our plans and our flight had to be rescheduled and we ended up having to connect in Cincinnati. That was exhausting, but on the way home we were able to keep our direct flight and it was pretty easy. If my boys were litte, it would be a different story. The long trip is worth it. We can't wait!

I ordered a Passporter last night so I can have something to read and pass the time other than get my Disney fix here on the DIS.

One of the most exciting things for me is that my extended family will be coming with us on the cruise. Not all of them will be with us for WDW, but I'm hoping that at least my sister can join me and the boys. I would love to show her around WDW, I know she'd love it.

Anyone else out there on this cruise?

Hi guys! We too are booked on this cruise. It'll be myself, DH, and kids at the time of cruise will be DD7, DS5, and unknown sex, age 11 months. Yep, I'm pregnant. Due this October. DH & I had originally planned and hoped to take the kids on a Mexican Riveria, but when Disney decided to do the Med, we quickly realized it would be too expensive. Then, we got a shock and found out we were pregnant. Found out exactly 1 day after we signed a contract to build us a new house! We had hoped for some kind of vacation this summer, but with baby on the way and house, decided to save our money. We thought this cruise would be perfect as the kids would only miss a couple days of school and with the kids clubs and Flounders, DH & I could enjoy it too.

We've been to St. Thomas and St. Maarten before so thought it better than to do something entirely new where we may not have the time to totally devote to sightseeing because who knows how fussy, picky, clingy, or independent this new child will be! ha ha. This time we want to take the ferry over to St. John's for the day. We did a 4 day this past year with the kids, and my DD keeps talking about the cruise ship and how she wants to go back. Little does she know! ha ha.

I just hope we definitely get to go. We ended up booking 2 connecting category 8's since we'll have 5. And, we have a long time to save up for it. So, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that as the time for final payment draws near, we'll be ok enough financially after the house purchase and all the new stuff we're going to need with it! Not to mention the unexpected expenses we now have with a new child. My DH isn't so sure we'll be able to swing it, but I keep telling him it'll all turn out ok as we have plenty of time to save up! Ha ha.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on the new baby! We're really looking forward to going to St. Thomas. Oh, and I convinced my mom and MIL to come along, so I booked their stateroom last week.

I've cruised before but this will be my boys' first of hopefully more to come. :)

Hey, anyone still around? I haven't been on in a while and figured we'd have more postings by now. But, I guess its still a year off! I'm still prego and due in 4 weeks, so baby will be 11 months when we go! I can't wait and need a vacation!
