Creative Memories has a great 7x7 Disney album (red with black foil Mickey head border) and what is called a Disney "Snap Pack." It's a kit with stickers and papers pre-cut with an idea book that includes a layout for every page of the album (15 sheets front/back - 30 pages), so you can copy them and don't have to be creative at all. I used it for my daughter's Disney album (not autographs) the last time we went, and a friend of mine used them for her kids' autograph books last fall and she said they worked great.

And here's a tip....Disney looks great on black pages! The colors in the photos really pop, so consider black pages when you get ready to do an album.

Just a disclaimer...I am a CM consultant, BUT I'm not trying to sell you something. If you don't know one, you can go to CM's website and see the products I mentioned and also locate a consultant near you.

...I don't know if it is still available from CM, (maybe E-bay?!?) but there also is a 12X12 Disney album...Red, with a Mickey (full body in black) on the front.
There is also a Done with one Disney pack (CM speak for a collection of largerpapers and die cuts--that's red and black mostly) and a Disney friends snap pack (that's a smaller pack, but with stickers and some bits of die cut papers).

I used the CM album, some of the products, and some other outside stuff (I don't remember which brands) to do an album for the trip my DS4 and I took in September. I keep it in the car and he looks at it a lot--I love listening to him narrate, "This is when we went on the barnstormer...oh, look, here we are riding the monorail..." but my favorite page is the last one...it's him asleep on the airplane on the way home....Just that one pic, a die cut of an airplane, a few lines of journaling, and the title, "Leavin' on a Jet Plane." Awwwww....

***I'm not a CM consultant...just want to share my good experience with their stuff! I know that not everybody feels the same way...***

I used to be a CM consultant and used all of these products, too! I LOVE the Snap Pack and my DD5 was able to follow the instructions to have a part in it! My suggestion is to get the autographs on index card size scrapbook paper and then put them into a book with pictures of your children and the characters. Keep in mind that the characters will sign really big if given the opportunity, so 3x5 worked for me in the 7x7 album so I could put photos with characters in, too.

This is my plan for my kids autograph book for this trip. I got the 7x7 Disney album and the Disney snap pack. I also got a paper pack that comes in a plastic folder to take in the parks to get the characters to sign on each individual sheet. I can take the pics of my kids with the characters and the sigs and put them in the scrapbook to make a nice little autograph book. I don't have pics yet, so I can't show you. I hope that helps :thumbsup2

Here are a couple of pages from the autograph album I made. The main expense was the Disney stickers. The actual album itself I just put together using cardstock and glue.

Wow Spart02! That is incredible work! I am afraid to ask how long that took.

I was going to make a book for DD, but then I found a really cute book with characters on the pages already and went with that instead. I don't think I have enough patience to make my own book.

I got one that has the princesses on the front and then the princesses dancing on each page with Ariel and the others on the front. It is really cute.

Typically each autograph album that I make only takes one evening (3-4 hrs) to do. The most time-consuming part is cutting and gluing together the book itself.
Thanks for the comments on the albums! I really have enjoyed making them and am now working on putting together ones for our upcoming Christmas trip.

The covers are just made of regular scrapbooking patterned paper. The entire book is made from cardstock, so it holds up fairly well. When in the parks, we just put them in a ziplock so they don't get wet or damaged in the backpack.

You also might get some inspiration on ebay (search in the scrapbooking on disney and narrow the search from there) or the 2peasinabucket website (you can search disney there also).

I made an autograph book by downloading Disney clip art on cardstock and had it bound at Kinkos (about $5 to have it bound). Also, check out the Creative DISigns board...there are tons of ideas for autograph books and many of those excellent people share their designs. Get started! This is a great project to get you psyched for Disney!

Here are a few of the pages I did for our autograph books. I downloaded clip art from the internet and added borders in PhotoImpact. I printed them out on 6x6 cardstock and slid them into a scrapbook. I just pulled out the pages as we needed them and attached them to a small clipboard to make it easy for the characters to sign. We got TONS of comments on the book! We also tried to match the color of the ink with the pages...turned out really nice. I'll try to post some pictures of the autographed pages later.

E-bay? No Way I'll get sucked in and buy waaay too much!!! :scared1:

I am copying some copy from a email I wrote about 3 years ago but I still get about 5 requests for the pdf file and photos a month...for those of us not gifted in the scrapbook department. The characters love these books - I have made about ten now for friends kids and nieces and nephews and they all get GREAT reviews! I'd be happy to send you the pdf or photo files.

How to make an autograph book - only true Disney nuts need read!

What you will need:
1. A mini photo album (Disney themed is good) with sheets for holding photos
2. A sheaf of white card stock paper
3. A metal ruler, cutting board and exacto knife (or scissors but this takes a lot longer)
4. Hole punch
5. A fat marker for signatures (again, Disney themed is good!) and a box of crayons

Steps:
1. Measure the pages in the photo album and use a document maker on your computer to create the pages - mine were 4x5 and I used quark express.
2. Find a list online of all the characters available to meet in the park - email me and I can send you one if you like.
3. Search for colouring pages of each of the charcters and place one on each page with their name in small below. Email me if you are unable to find anyone and I can email you these as well. This may take some time
4. Be sure to leave enough room beside each character for the character to sign their name. Try to fit two autograph pages to a sheet of paper - you should end up with about 100 plus characters so 60 sheets should do. You may want to leave some blank sheets for other characters you forgot.
5. Cut out sheets and hole punch and place in book - alphabetically is good so you can find each one quickly when you are there. Place a photo page holder between every two pages so you can put pics of your little prince or princess with each character.
6. Attach fat marker with ribbon and Bob's your uncle!
7. Present on way down to Florida to your favourite Disney prince(es) or princess(es) on plane ride with lovely box of new crayons and you may get half an hour of peace from "Are we there yet?" as they colour in their favourite characters.
8. The characters you meet will LOVE this book - it really makes for some wonderful character interaction and wonderful signatures. The two mice from cinderella had a little playful quarrel because Suzy took up all of Perla's room. I wanted my girl to have this for her first trip so that she could watch herself grow with the characters - we should have everyone by the time she is ten! It was a lot of work but worth every moment and so fun! Caution - this might make some disney addicts drive themselves right into the ground in a tizzy of anticipation!
Have fun!

My suggestion is to get the autographs on index card size scrapbook paper and then put them into a book with pictures of your children and the characters. Keep in mind that the characters will sign really big if given the opportunity, so 3x5 worked for me in the 7x7 album so I could put photos with characters in, too.

This is exactly what I did, but we used 4x6 scrap pads in different colored card stock from Michaels last year, and it worked out great. I trimmed them down to fit into our scrapbook as I needed to.

Here's what we did--it worked really well in the parks, and the kids loved putting their autograph albums together when we got home.

I found a small (4 x 6) spiral sketchbook in the drawing section of AC Moore. It was pretty inexpensive and had a nice, hard back. They also had larger ones, but I thought the small ones would be easiest to carry around.

On the car trip, I gave the kids the sketchbook and a bunch of Disney stickers. They used the stickers to decorate the cover of the sketchbook--kind of like a collage. They also used the remaining stickers on the inside of the book to mark the pages where each character would sign.

We used the Sharpie pens that have the click-open/click-closed top (like a ball point pen). Then we didn't have to worry about losing the cap and the Sharpie was big enough for the characters to handle easily. I took a picture of the kids with each character.

When we got home, we cut out the autographs and mounted them onto photo mounting paper. We used the CM 7 x 7 album and mounted the picture of the character on one page and the autograph on the facing page. The Disney snap packs, mentioned in a previous post, are really good for decorating the pages of your album.
