calling all Romantics HELP!

quick, off the cuff, if you wanted to do something romantic and spontaneous for your DH ( SO ) what would you do?

Heres the scenario:
limited funds, no sitter, limited amount of prep time.


What can I do to make this evening really special for no good reason?

Here's an idea that's rated G (at least to begin with ) Feed the kids early, put them into PJs and pop in a video. Pack a picnic dinner, lay a nice blanket on the floor in your bedroom, light a few candles, close the door and enjoy

From one male's perspective.................

Call him at work and ask him what (G/PG) thing he wants to do when he gets home ........... then ............. let him do it! For example, does he like "tinkering" around the house? Don't pry and ask him when he's going to be done..... just abide by his decision....... he'll be wondering why you aren't bothering him (works for my wife!).
Does he just want to talk about work? Let him talk your ear off! He'll go to bed knowing he has the smartest DW in the world. Does he want to play "catch" with his kids? Set out his favorite casual shirt ......... then let him! He'll be so exhausted he'll be putty in your hands.

Then he'll be more than ready (once the kids are in bed) for any "non G/PG" rated items on your list.

What about taking a bubble bath or a shower together? Giving each other full body massages?

One of my favorite things to do for DH is to plan a romantic picnic for two in the living room.

Why don't you stay up after 10:00, and use those ideas we were throwing out to you in chat late the other night when your hubby was trying on his new suits.

I wish that I lived closer so I could come babysit for you. I'm sure your kiddos would love hearing me talk about Trevor Linden and Jellyrolls all night
