Okay - I appologize in advance, this is a lot of questions, I'll try to break them down. Just read a post on here that said you can turn in unused portions of old tickets for credit towards an annual pass...... is this true?
I have never heard of this before. I have 3 old hoppers each with one day park admission and several plusses on them.

1 - How would I go about doing this?

2 - I usually order the AP's in advance, but would I need to wait and do this at a Theme Park Guest services window?

3 - If so can I do it at International Gateway?

4 - I've never waited until I get there to buy the AP - is there any disadvatage to that?

5 - Is it worth it monetary wise to do this or should hang on to the old tickets and use up the admission and plusses along the way somewhere?

Thanks in advance!!

Sorry, but I would like to add one more question and that would be if I could trade an old ticket in for the new MYW ticket? Also how would you figure what it's worth would be. I have some from 2002 that have 3 day park hopper with 2 extras left.So they have been partially used.
I know I was able to trade in ones that I just used and traded them in within the 7 days of first use, I got a GREAT deal on them. I was able to add 5 extra days on but did not choose the water park extra and but did get hopper and no expiration and I was only charged $50. I had no idea how the guy did it but he was the Disney ticket expert, I wasn't. But they didn't say anything about trading in my other 2002 tickets that were used back in 2004 for new tickets. So I am really interested. Thanks in advance

Beginning in January 2006, Disney World tickets that were purchased prior to the introduction of MYW tickets in January 2005 can be upgraded only if they are completely unused. Tickets purchased pre-2005 that are partially used can only be used for the remaining admissions (parks or plusses) and can no longer be used towards purchasing a new ticket.

If you had MYW tickets, you could upgrade them within the 14 days from first use window (any MYW ticket including expiring ones) or you can apply the dollar value of the unused park admissions towards a new ticket after the 14 day window if you have the no expiration option on them.
