I have been reading some really great reviews for the service/products from Orlando Stroller Rentals but I am hoping you can provide some additional details for me.

We are taking our almost 5 year old (she will be about 6 weeks shy of turning 5) for her first trip this October and I am trying to decide on our stroller situation. I know I want to have a stroller--even if it is only used part of them time but I am having trouble deciding if our evenflo umbrella stroller would be sufficient or if I should spend a little extra money and get one of the city mini strollers from Orlando stroller rentals. We are driving btw so space isn't an issue.

The umbrella stroller does have a small basket and couple of pouches for storage/holding drinks etc. but it does not recline. I don't really anticipate my DD needing to nap in the stroller at any time since we plan on taking a break each day for her to nap at the resort but given this is her first trip I obviously won't know for sure how tired she may get.

So after all of this info my main question is what advantages would we get by renting the city mini? Thanks in advance for any and all help! :goodvibes

First Dh and I absolutely loved the citymini. We rented from OrlandoStrollers for our June trip. It is so much better than an umbrella stoller. We decided we were not taking our stroller from home cause it was way 2 bulky and our umbrella one did not have a canopy or enough support. Our dd is almost 3. We went back and forth about the park strollers and off site renting. the park strollers r way to hard and do not recline. Let me give a few great reasons why we went with the Citymini. First and foremost it is light weight and folds up in 1/2 with 1 pull of a strap. Loved that feature the most. Second, the canopy comes all the way down in front. (Great feature 4 Fla. sun). Third, it reclines fully. Wonderful when tired. It also holds a much higher wight than other stollers. There r some minor down falls like no tray in front or drink holders but u can purchase them from home and take with u. Also, I know park stroller may not have been a option in ur book but the citymini can be a great asset on the long walk to the busstop/monorail. U cannot take park strollers with u. Orlando Strollers delivered the stroller to CBR as promised and I just left with bell service on last day! We r going back 2 WDW in 3 wks and we r decideing if I want to purchase a citymini of my own. If not we will rent again! Hope this helps some. Godd Luck and have a magical vacation!

I love love love the City Mini and OSR, but it sounds like your stroller will be sufficient, especially if you plan on taking breaks during the day. My girls are 6 and almost 5 and we rent from OSR every time we travel, but that's only because we only have a bulky and heavy jogging stroller. If I had a pretty good double umbrella stroller with even a small amount of storage, I wouldn't bother renting. Your DD should be fine in what you have. Have fun!

I didn't know about the Orlando Stroller rental. I will look into that.

I think with an almost 5 year old I would't spend the money on something else. I'd just bring along what you have. If you go back to the hotel in the afternoon for a while to rest she may not hardly need one at all...
