Calling all non AKV owners

When I called last Thursday for a studio for that week, there was nothing available on 12/3 or 12/6, so availability is no longer there. I also called yesterday and the same thing.

Bummer I want Dec 5-10, I just want something besides BCV!

Of course, it could take me 2 hours to get thru tomorrow and this could all be pointless.

do you really think it will take that long? i hope not. i am kind of hoping that i will get akv, but what I really want is some time at VWL between OCt 24-Nov4...all that is available now are the weekend days.

But please, do not take my word for it, call tomorrow. Something might open up. Actually, I would like to have BCV, so we could walk to Epcot and MGM, but I don't have enough points to stay a full 6 nights. (Got studio standard view at AKV - only 9 points a night for weekday) Isn't it funny how we all have different desires.

Something strange about my request at AKV for 12/2 to 12/8. Both times I called (2x) the CM said it was available, then they put me on hold because it wouldn't let them complete the reservation. Each CM then gave me the same response, no availability on 3rd and 6th. I just thought it was odd they both said available for that whole week, but actually not. Is this common?

It is funny how we all have different desires, but that is why DVC is SO AWESOME, most times we can get them.

I am calling tomorrow, DH just suggested a split stay he usually doesnt want to do it. So we are keeping BCV for Dec 5 & 6 and hoping for AKV for Dec 7-10.

I will be calling in the morning. The kids have swim team practice at 7 so I will be on the phone as soon as I drop them at the pool! We are hoping for some time in October. We have three weeks off in the fall since we are on year round school so I have some flexibility. I just need to decide ASAP because flights are pretty cheap right now for October. I do have a week booked at OKW we can always use.

I want to call for 2 days the beginning of August but I don't know if I am wasting my time. I know there are limited rooms at that time, but I figured there might also be a limited number of people able to book them before Wednesday.

This is exactly my thought. Since only the owners of those acutal units could book at the initial booking window, I am thinking that there is still a chance. I am looking at late August.

I will be calling for a Studio for two nights near the end of September. We already have OKW booked, so I won't be terribly disappointed if it doesn't work out, but I'm sure my kids would love AKV.

Aaarrrrgghh! I am freaking out! I just found out that I need to be in DD's classroom at 9! That means I won't get home until 10 (best case). I am so bummed!

I'll try anyway, but my feeling is that I won't be seeing AKV this time...

As far as I can tell, there should be 7 2BR lockoffs and 7 dedicated studios in inventory at that time. That's based on the units DVC has "declared" in that July '07 section of the construction phases map.

Don't panic, I'm sure those of us calling right at 9 probably won't get through for an hour or so anyway.

What days are you looking for again? Maybe I can sneak in an additional question and find out about availability for you. I'm sure it could change by the time you get to call, but I'll be happy to try if you want me to (unless that is against the rules...sorry kind of new to DVC.)
