Hi all Minnesotan's. Has anyone been to the Mall of America Rainforest Cafe// and the rainforest at Animal Kingdom.

How do they compare. Is the rainforest a must see--lots of different things to WOW us in Animal Kingdom or pretty similiar to the one in Minnesota??? Any help would be great. 4 days till we can make PS's. YEAA. THANKS :)

IMHO, it is pretty similar to the Mall of America one. It is always worth a look tho. We opted to try other restaurants instead.

Have Fun!

Well I am not a Minnesotan but I have been to the RFC in Mall of America. I have been to a few others in different states. IMHO Disney has the BEST of all that I have seen.

That was what I figured. No sense going if pretty similiar. We could always just shop around a little in there and not eat. I think we will opt for a different restuarant to try, since we have access to this one. Thanks again--Mogs.

I've been to both. They are very much the same - like you, we'd rather spend out time at Disney doing something different than we can do at home. I'd recommend that you give Boma's a try instead. Have a good trip!

I agree - they're pretty much the same. :)

I forget sometimes that Minneapolis is also a tourist site-- shouldn't have limited my question to just Minnesotan's. I guess if you have seen one rainforest, you have pretty much seen them all. Thanks for all replies. I think it's cool to be able to come on this site and ask questions before going to WDW. My 1st time going and would have missed LOTS without all the help from the good people on this site. Everyone have a magical day. :jester:

We recently moved from St. Paul and enjoyed the RFC at MOA. We looked at the one at AK and thought it looked like the same thing in a different location, so we passed. Now we can go to the RFC in Houston. If you don't have an RFC, it would be a great place to eat while visiting AK. With the absence of full service dining at AK, and the theming being so perfect for AK, though, I think it would still be fun, just not novel. On our next trip, we're not eating there.
