Yes I would like to know this too!!!

If you want to take your luggage on the bus, you don't use the yellow tags. You must claim your luggage at baggage claim and bring it to ME with you. You can carry on smaller pieces, the driver will load the large pieces in the storage area. (Be sure to *tip*!!)

I used ME on 9/29 - landed at MCO at 1:30; got checked in to ME (there were helpful people everywhere!); I was escorted to my bus and even though I was the 3rd & final stop for that bus, I was all checked in at POFQ by 2:30! I put my carry-on into my room, headed over to Epcot for several hours and when I returned, my checked luggage was in the room!

The day before I left, ME put a note on my door w/my departure time of 3:10. I was flying AirTran which is not one of the airlines where you can "check in" at your resort (that would have made it even nicer!) I got to the bus stop at 2:40 and an ME bus was getting ready to depart - the driver told me there was room for me if I wanted to leave then; he stowed my luggage and about 35 minutes later, I was at MCO!!

I arrived at MCO around 1:00p.m. and toured the airport to see what was new since my visit last year. Got to the DME desk around 1:30p.m., got in line and was at Pop Century before 2:30p.m. and all checked in.

Return was uncomplicated. Had our time and the entire bus was filled with folks from the Pop Century, so we went straight to MCO. Got there with plenty of time. Really have to write DME and Mears a letter about our return driver - EXCELLENT SERVICE. I forgot one of my bags as we were going to the ticket counter from the bust, I turned around and ran back to get it. The driver had pulled out of the stall, but noticed my bag and was waiting for me with my bag. On the ball driver.

Only problem was the reaction of the DME cast member when I was checking in at the DME desk at MCO on 9/16. My wife was supposed to be on the reservation, I had notified my travel agen and DME as well at least twice. I had the e-mails with responses to confirm it. She was arriving on a different flight. When I told the CM that and that she had the yellow tags on it he had like a shocked look on his face and told me she wasn't on my reservation and I should have called the number in the DME booklet. Well, I did do that. Go figure ... didn't make a difference anyway ... only took a couple of minutes and all was ok. One thing always do with Disney is get names, dates and times. I had them all with me and told the CM I'd be glad to show it to him. :)

Little irritating start, but it all worked out great.

My sister arived at MCO at 1:00 pm got on the bus and to the ASM all ok. This took about 1hr from time of landing. For her the bad was bags didn't come till next morning. Thay did give them $50 PP for clothing at the gift shop and all toilettres you wanted. Also gave her $50 off the room. She was only staying there one night then moving to BCV.
For us we had no problem with ME just ASMovies had no room for us when we got there at 12:15 am said we would have to move to ASMusic . I said no And thay said I only booked a Disney resort so thay can put us in any one thay want. At this time I told them fine put me at Beach Club now the story chanes to thats a delux resort and your in a echony resort. I said no it a disney resort and i'm booked for a disney resort. So with a talk to the Mannager we were off to the Beach Club for the night Not bad for $77. Thay also had to drive us over there. Our bag found us in the morning and we checked in to BCV for the next 7 nights.

Yes we did and it was a piece of cake. Since I was arriving at 10pm I thought it worthwile to spend a few minutes to get it myself. We never pack more than we can carry, so myself and two young dd's had no problem doing this. The baggage was at the carosel about 2 minutes after we were. Rolled the bags (one each) to the ME desk, waited for our voucher and then on to the line for the bus. Driver was very helpful and loaded the bags under the bus and had them waiting when we got to AKL. Same thing on the return as SWA isn't a participating airline for the return flight. LIke I said earlier the problem for us was no bus at MCO and a long time to get vouchers as ours were mailed incorectly.

eta - don't put the yellow luggage tags on your checked bags if you want to transport them yourself.

I LOVED ME..... it was awsome. I was a little worried when we say the line of people waiting to get checked in but it only took about 5 minutes. Our bus came very fast and we were at CSR in about 30 min. probably an hour total from landing, gatherring our own bags, we did not use the yellow tags, checking into ME and arriving at CS.

We did not recieve the information about our departure time though, so I had to call ME, but we were in the system and the CM on the phone gave me our departure time. I think this service is fantastic and considering that it is free right now, I do not understand why you would not use it.

Oh yeah .. Just to note, we did receive our bags in a timely manner.

Also, we did have to call DME for a departure time. Didn't have to wait very long on hold when calling and they were very pleasant to deal with. Got a departure time and confirmation number.

Thank you I really want to take it with me . I fly with AA so it is just go on down and get my own stuff and then back up to the desk on the elevator . It is worth it to me to know that it will be there when I am there .

I flew AA, and did not put my yellow tags on our luggage... next time I would have dh and dd get our luggage, while I would head down to the level one and get in that long line - like I said it took over 30 minutes for us to check in - everyone on our flight it seems took the ME route!!

Since AA is a participating member, you will love the morning of check out - check your luggage at the resort, they will print your boarding passes, tag your luggage, and you are good to go!! The resort will also hold your carry on luggage for you for you to shop hands free!! We got to the airport 3 hours before takeoff, and ate lunch there (we went to DTD and had the Earl of Sandwich, but DD wanted Burger King!!)

So on the way TO Disney I wanted my luggage. On the way home, I didnt want to wait, and checked it!! I stored my luggage under the bus, and got on board, I took my luggage off the ME bus, tipped the driver, and got in line to check in at the resort!

We had an AWESOME experience. I would use it again, even if I had to pay for it.

We landed at 12:15. We were in at the desk checking in to Pop Century at 1:10. This included the time we had to wait for our airline to get our stroller for us, and navigating the airport with ds, stroller, 6 carry-ons, one nervous grandmother, a wandering grandfather, dh and myself :flower: Pop was the first stop for our bus.

We had a 5 night trip this past August and lucked out with the free dining promo too! Our flight landed at 10:30 am and needless to say despite just missing the last bus, we were the first to board the next bus to the All Stars Resort. We arrived at the Sports resort with our carryons and were checked in, in our room and changed into our suits and were heading to the pool by 12pm! When we went back to our room around 1pm - there was our luggage! We were amazed by how quick and smooth this new feature was! It appears there are some people that are naturally hesitant about leaving thier luggage at the departing airport and hoping it will be ok - just make sure you pack your valuables and a change of clothes and a swim suit too in your carryon.

For all the trips we have made to Disney, this made it the best and they just seem to be getting better as we felt that this really made for a good start to our holiday and the free dining sure topped it off! :cool1:

ME is beginning to sound just too good :Pinkbounc I can't wait to try it in January - all of your posts have made me feel so much better. Ds14 and I are already planning what we will do with the $$ we've always spent on limo service. We usually only have carry ons but I may just check a bag for a change too. Thanks everyone for the reports.
