If I am staying in the nain bldg, concierge from what I have read the concierge rooms are on a couple of different floors.

What is your favorite floor to be on and why?

We will have 4 children. 9,6,5, and 10 mo.

Thanks for your ideas. I have never stayed there and it is my dream.:earsboy:

In the main building, you will find most 'regular rooms' for a family are located on the third or fourth floor. The concierge desk is on the third floor and the concierge lounge with the drinks and goodies is on the fourth floor. Many families like having their room on the fourth floor so they can just stroll down the hall to the lounge as opposed to the third floor where you would have to use either the elevator or stairs to get to the lounge. If you have any more questions, just ask!

With kids your age, I would definetly request the 4th floor where the lounge is located. It's much easier for the kids to get something to eat. It seemed that most of the younger kids were on that floor. My kids are older 10 & 13, so the 3rd floor was fine for us.

You do have a few choices and it might also depend on what you want to request for a view. If you want the MK, that will put you on the 3rd or 4th floor, but the furthest away from the concierge lounge. The view is definitely worth those few extra steps though. If you wanted to "see" the lounge when you opened up your room door, then you might want to request 4th floor with a lagoon view. You'll see Spaceship Earth in the distance, the Poly and the beach. This is also great for watching the electric water parade from your room (9:15 nightly). The only downside is that you can also hear the orchestra a little bit. I didn't mind that at all though. Plus, if you're on that side of the lounge, you'll have very little hallway noise. I found the rooms that are right off the lounge with the garden view are the noisest.

There are stairs that connect all the concierge floors, so you're not really inconvenienced if you're staying on the 3rd or 5th floor.

Thanks, what floor has the balcony overlooking the lobby? I would assume it is the 4th?

We will need two connecting concierge rooms. I will be staying w/ DVC pts. Only 2 nights then we want to move to OKW. Do you think it will be difficult booking at 11 mo. out? I know that is an impossible question to answer!

It is my dream to stay there. We are going to go 3 days before Thanksgiving 2005. Thanks again!!

All the floors of the main building overlook the lobby. Depending on what floor you're on, one side has the concierge desk (3rd floor) or the lounge (4th floor). The other side has rooms with a lagoon view.

If you want an MK view, that would be 3rd or 4th floor. We had 4th floor, room 4404 and the castle was right in the center of our balcony. There are about 10 rooms on each of the two regular concierge floors that would have this view. As I mentioned in my previous thread, these rooms are going to be the furthest from the lounge and main elevators. It probably only added on a few extra minutes, but the view was definitely worth it. There is also an elevator located down by those rooms that exits out right next to Gasparilla's.

I liked 4th floor because there was no one above you. That wing of the resort only goes up 4 floors. You're also located right over Gasparilla's. I don't know if lower floors would be affected by the noise, but I know that we didn't hear anything.

Thanks Tammi,

You are very knowledgeable!:)

That sounds like exactly what I would want. Have a great day.

My pleasure. Once you have your reservation booked, I'd suggest contacting the IPO department of the GF. They'll help you with any priority seating arrangements, recreation, special dining, etc. I've always found them to respond promptly to e-mail, so you can reach them at WDWGFPlanning@disney.com . You can also let them know about your room requests. All views in the main building are the same price, so it's all based on whatever is available.
