I am not a frequent flyer... I haven't flown in about 6 years, soooooo... I was wondering when do you think the best time to buy airfare is. We are going to WDW on November 15-23. I must fly southwest since that's where my points are. I check the flights daily. They fluctuate some, but only like a $20.00 difference usually. I'm getting very antsy. Do I pay a higher than I want to price now, or do I hold out? If I hold out, I obviously risk not getting the flight I want, which 2 of the days of my trip (arrival day and departure day) depend on?
What's your opinion??

Since Nov. 23 is the day before Thanksgiving, I would've bought my tickets months ago. I'd book ASAP, if I were you. If the price does go down, you can get a credit to use for a future flight within one year of the date of your ticket purchase.

If you are using southwest get them now, as it gets closer the cheaper flight vanish on southwest. If it was another airline or time you might be able to game it some but not on southwest on a holiday.

I agree with the other poster---I would have bought months ago for travel in a holiday week.

We are flying from Baltimore to Orlando November 22, coming home December 4th. We paid $94 a few months ago on SW. One flight is sold out now, the other is $226. I agree I'd book asap. We always book and if a rate is reduced, we get the credit to use for anther flight with in the year.
