Good evening ladies - I'm just stopping by quickly tonight.

Our FD trucks are a BRIGHT LIME GREEN . I personally am a fan of the traditional red firetruck, but our guys are proud of their equipment.

Sorry I missed you girls tonight . I kinda got stuck making candy bouquets for the Wrestling Banquet . The Mom doing them backed out 1 week before ( nice dont ya think) .
It doesnt look like the other moms will be pitching in so I will be hot glueing candy to sticks for the next few days
60 Wrestlers and not one of the other Moms can do this . MIL is helping she owns a nice gift shop and a florist so she is a big creative help to me . Wish me luck

Geez...I hate when people do that and expect YOU to do it all!!! Makes you just want to

them. Glad you had someone there to help you. Did you get them done? When is your banquet?

Hope everyone else is well today. Just got done working and now off to bring garage sale stuff to a babysitting coop that is having a sale this weekend. My VAN IS FULL!!!

(actually my van is red...but I couldn't find one!!!) Then have to pick DD up at DH's work (it was take your child to work day there). Anyone else's kids go?

Whew, what a day!

DH is at Kate's school videoing her "talent show"... Why oh why do they do these things during the day???? She is singing a "Lizzie Maquire" song...LOL..should be cute..she stands in front of the bathroom mirror and does "shows" all the time..it is quite cute when you catch her singing her lungs out.

Ok..back to the grind!

That is so cute!!! How old is she? My 8 y.o. suddenly LOVES LIzzie McGuire. The Easter bunny

brought her the Lizzie McGuire DVD. She loves her. We just saw the new movie Cheaper by the Dozen which she is in and they thought it was cute.

My DD's do shows all the time, too. 8 y.o. does dance so they're always playing dress up and doing shows. She can dance but the poor thing sings like her Daddy. YIKES!!! The little one likes the karaoke machine, too. THAT is cute.

Gotta go pick up DD from Brownies. See you later. !

Kate is just turned 6 in February.

She really doesn't watch that much Lizzie, but she got the CD for Christmas and loves it. She DID want to watch "Cheaper by the Dozen", because of Lizzie, butI wanted to watch it first to make sure it was ok!

I wasn't able to post in here earlier my computer was wacking out on me.

No interesting FD stuff to say tonight but of course DH is there using the one of the truck bays to fix the breaks on his mom's van that he is borrowing while his truck is getting fixed. (It's that magnet thing I was talking about that just MAKES him go to the FD...well, maybe the magnet is in DH, not his vehicle! LOL)

Not much going on tonight. Just DIS'ing when I should be working, AGAIN!!! Guess I better go back.

DH was out from 8 p.m. till 4:30 am on a call to help another city That is a long time .....They were finishing up a call when the other city on the way to their call was blowing the horn and flashing the lights at them when they went by . So of course our guys fliipped to thier channel and heard they had a huge fire and were requesting help . So off they went. I guess no whole bed for me .

BTW All the men from the 2 cities were all ok . But the 4 buildings didnt make it

Hey Mishelle...well that's all that is important. You must have one TIRED man on your hands!!! Wow...must've been a BIG ONE!!!

Tell him to rest up and we'll see you tomorrow night, too. I'm starting to get ready for DD's 1st Communion party next saturday and got candy bar wrappers printed up for her and have to stick them on the bars tomorrow night but I'm sure I'll stop by.

I just caught up reading all these posts!! I have been having a few computer problems so I have been unable to post

We have 2 boys, 29 months and 12 weeks (today).

My DH is on the "squad" and drives an Excursion (they go to fires and extracations and do inspections during the day).

My 2 year old just woke up from his "nap" (yes, at 11 PM), so it looks like I have a looooooonnnnnnngggggggg night ahead of me:yawn:

Packed Rick off this AM for his shift...woo hoo!! A bed to myself tonight. I have booked a pedicure this afternoon ( I get off at 1pm on Fridays ) and then Kate and I are going to dinner for our Friday night Mommy and Me. We do it every Friday that his shift falls on.

Kate was very cute in her performance. She just danced. I don't know where she picked up some of her moves...some of it looked like 6yo Riverdance!! It was funny!

ok..gonna pretend to wirk..maybe that will make the day go faster!


Hey...this time next week, I will be on my way to Disney ( as long as DH doesn't get a late call! )

Just stopping in quick before I work this afternoon.

Christy...hope you got some sleep. That's some schedule your 2-year-old is on. 11 p.m nap? Yikes..I feel sorry for you. I remember those days.

Betsy...I just thinking about your little girl's Riverdance!!! That is hysterical.

That's a great idea that you guys do a "mommy" night out. I try to do that sometimes, too, if one of the girl's doesn't have school for some reason or one has a b-day party to go to...then the other one does something special with me. Hope you have a great manicure.

Are you all packed for your trip? I'm so excited for you.

I have to work soon. I'll see you gals later. Tonight we're working on the candy bars for DD's 1st communion. Tomorrow older DD has dance and then a b-day party. Younger DD and I are going to our camp (about 20 mins away) to check on stuff before opening season next weekend. (Not as exciting as Disney but I still can't wait).

Hey there - we are hanging out at home, hoping for a quiet night. Otto worked overnight last night, and didn't get much sleep this morning. He looks beat, and I always worry if he goes to a call when he is tired.
Anyone else ever threatened to turn that darn thing off (pager) when they are sick or tired?? He also always forgets to turn it down when we are volunteering at the kids school. At least he says he forgets, I think he just likes to impress the kids when it goes off!
Speaking of which, do any of you know why they MUST have it at full volume when it is already attached to them? It isn't like they can't hear it!

Hey Girlies Dh is in the living room on the floor watching that monster of a Tv and I of course came to see how my new friends were.
Dh slept most of the day and all of last night. He said it was a "BIG ONE" why does that always make me giggle

So what are y'all doing tonight ?
DD is working tonight so no girls running all over my house screaming and giggling. I know I willbe sad when she moves out someday and will miss all that but for now I live quiet time LOL

We do have 4 wrestlers sleeping over tonight but they are nice a silent up there (that may or may not be a good thing) may have to check in on DS and friends

Hey Girls...

Sorry I didn't make it on last night. It was like Grand Central here yesterday. One person calling or stopping over after another and by the time I was ready to sit down for the night I was too tired to drag my fanny downstairs and log onto the computer but I did miss you guys.

Never made it to do the candybars. That will be tonight (hopefully).

Younger DD and I are going out to our camp today (it is cleanup weekend) and see how things survived over the winter. She loves it there because she can ride her bike on the trail (which is in a circle and cars can only go 5 mph) She knows to stop and pull over when there is a car and I can see her the whole time. She can't ride her bike at home because we live on a street with a hill and although it is not a main road...it is kind of busy because the police station is up the street, etc.

Our camp is about 20 mins from where I live and close enough that I can work out there too on my laptop but I don't have internet access. So, through the summer weekends I won't be online but during the week I will. School ends here Jun 24 we only go out there during the weekends starting May 1st.

I'll check back with you gals later when I get back from the lake...(funny quick story....when we got back from being at the beautiful Outer Banks of N.C. last year and being right on the ocean...we get back to camp and DH says (about the lake) "What's with the puddle?" I thought that was hysterical). Hope everyone has a great day.

Believe me, I feel your pain, sister!!! Or how about this....in our county when there is a structure fire call they do a double beep before they dispatch. So...whenever there is a "double beep" we are all supposed to SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! so he can hear. (The girls even know to stop, be quiet, and freeze in place until they dispatch the call). Boy, he is crazy!!!! MEN!!!

DH just got home..he had 2 fires yesterday ( rare for them, the majority of their calls are medical ) One was a kitchen fire, the other was an arson on 2 cars in a driveway. He said the car one was really bad cause it cooked enough to melt aluminium.

He came home an reran the whole thing out...told me all the mistakes they made...it suck to be the chief...you have to answer for all the little things that go wrong.

ok..off to home depot for some herbs
