Hello,
My teacher has asked me to help her plan her Disney Vacation next year in April. I was wondering for a bit of help. I think I could normally do it on my own but I love your advice and have never planned for anyting this big. She is having 7 adults 2 babies (on their way this summer) and one 9y ear old.
The biggest question I have is on accomendations.... She had wanted them to all stay together but I know that is way too much money to do. I was thinking 2 or 3 rooms. I know that you can request connecting rooms for 2 do they offer this anyway for 3?
Thank you for any help you can give me on this situation!!! You all are awesome!

Okay...you can request connecting rooms. They only will connect 2 regular rooms to each other at the regular resorts I believe. If you will have small children staying in the 2nd room they will guarantee connecting rooms.

The other thing you can request is "adjoining" rooms. Which means just rooms next to each other but no door from the inside between them like connecting rooms. Not so sure how many rooms you can have adjoining though...maybe requesting to be in the same bldng. all in one resort will yield the best results? :confused3 Plus you need to keep in mind requests are just that and not guaranteed.

Another option if you want larger accommodations where you can have more people all in 1 room would be the DVC villas. You can get a 2bdrm villa at any of the DVC's which will sleep up to 8 adults plus your 2 babies since they'll be under 3. Plus you'd have a full kitchen and in room laundry which can save $$ on meals and makes it more convenient when traveling with infants. All depends too though on how much togetherness and privacy they're looking for but if they all want to stay together in 1 villa..that's a great option.

It's pricey to go directly through Disney for a 2bdrm villa at a DVC but split between that many adults may not be too bad:scratchin

OR

they could rent the points from a DVC member and spend probably half of what Disney will charge to book direct through CRO. If this interests them then go check out the DVC RENT/TRADE board here on the Dis ;)

You don't mention what kind of budget they are trying to stay within but those are some options.

HTH's

I think the idea of renting a 2BR at OKW is a great option! We did that in October 2003 and had a great time. It was part of the reason we decided to join DVC. Because of the number of us on that trip, we also rented a studio. You save ALOT off rack rates by renting through a DVC owner. One bedroom has a king bed, the other has 2 queens or full. There is a pull out couch in the living room, and room for a full size air mattress to the side of the couch. And plenty of room for the 2 pack n' plays for the babies.
