I am researching for our first DLP trip. Needless to say, I have LOTS of questions.

First, how is the bus transportation from the Disney resorts to the parks? Does it run quite regularly?

Second, what types of food is available at the hotel breakfast?

I am stuck trying to decide which saves more money: 1) booking a package through Disney, or 2) making a hotel reservation at the Holiday Inn and buyig breakfast and park passes separately. I am travelling with my husband and our two young children (ages 4 months and 4 years). Any and all suggestions would be appreciaited. We are looking to be at DLP from 2 - 5 November.

Have a look at the useful info sticky at the top of the board which will link to the shuttle bus site :)

Breakfast offerings on-site are croissants, pan au chocolat, cheese, ham, breakfast cereal, rolls, orange juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There is an option for around €6.50 to have a cooked breakfast of bacon, scramble eggs and sausages.

The shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes. It's not really worth using as all the hotels are with 15 minutes walk of the parks. It's a lovely walk through Disney village and up to the main gates.

I'd choose a Disney Resort over Holiday Inn. The holiday inn is a lovely resort but it lacks that Disney magic! Pricewise there shouldn't be too much difference between the holiday inn and Disney's Cheyenne (CHECK EXPEDIA FOR ROOM ONLY RATES FOR DISNEY RESORT HOTELS!) but the Cheyenne is a much better option!

I will be there the same weekend! :thumbsup2 I never stayed at one of the off-site hotels because I love the fact, that you can have a walk around the lake in the morning and get to the parks within 15 minutes. If it`s very cold or you`re too tired to walk you can always take the busses that come very regularly every 10 mins. And you can book a Fantasyland breakfast if you`re staying at a Disney hotel, except Disneyland Hotel, where you can enter the park one hour prior to official opening, have the same food choices and can go on several rides at Fantasyland without queuing. :wizard:
Although I would think that breakfast choices at Holiday Inn are a bit better than at the Santa Fe, but maybe someone can help who stayed at the Holiday Inn before?
