Calling all DDA pros...

I am quite new to t-shirt designs and I have run into a problem. I have successfully completed some white t-shirts with no problems. However, i ordered some transfer paper for darks to use on my dark shirts. They came today and I was very eager to use them so I got started. My understanding was that on a dark shirt the color would not show through if using a dark transfer paper for the design. Well that didn't happen. I have done one on gray and one on orange and the color of the shirt shows through the design. Everything in the design that was light or white is the color of the shirt.

I guess my question is...did i order the wrong stuff or was I sent the wrong stuff? I have contacted the company i ordered from and have not heard back yet, and don't suppose i will until the beginning of the week. I checked the package, packing slip and even the directions they sent were for dark transfers. What's up?

Any comments or suggestions welcome!

Sounds like you received light shirts transfers - this should never happen with dark shirt transfers. They sent you the wrong product if you ordered dark.

That's kinda what I thought. Thanks for confirming that for me. Hopefully they can "fix" their mistake. If I'm lucky they will send the correct ones out right away so I can finish my shirts before we leave.

What I don't understand is why did the transfers apply like the dark transf. should? What I mean is with the light transfer paper I had to mirror my image to iron on. With these I didn't. They worked just like the dark transfer were supposed to. Peel the back off and iron on color side up...I don't quite get it.
