Calling all Coffee Snobs!

Thanks so much!!

I just ordered it from Amazon! Less coffee grounds in the coffee sold me!

I'm so happy I posted this thread!:mickeyjum

I don't consider myself a coffee snob. I'm just like it the way I like it  and will only get my morning cuppa from the same cafe everyday. I have been wondering how I am going to survive 2 weeks without my caffeine fix.
So, can anyone tell me where I can buy a decent mild cap somewhere on my way between HOJO and DL. The closer to HOJO the better. Oh and I know HOJO have coffee machines but I can't make decent coffee myself :lmao:
It def. needs to be mild. I know the coffee in the USA is much stronger than the coffee we have over here. TIA!!!!!

If you want mild coffee somewhere in between HOJO and DL I say McDonald's is perfect. Their coffee is mild compared to something like Starbucks.

Sounds like I am really going to struggle, I am used to coffee from my Italian espresso machine and wouldn't dream of using coffee ground more than 30 seconds beforehand.:surfweb:
Might have to switch to alcohol :rotfl:

The Wikipedia page is here. You can buy one at Amazon.com here, or at a number of retailers.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but according to DW, the resulting coffee is a lot less acidic - she has a hard time going back to brewed coffee now.

The manufacturer claims that it produces expresso, which you can then water down to get regular coffee. My DW drinks it strong - almost all Aeorpress, with just a touch of additional hot water. I don't think it's really expresso-strength, but it can definitely be brewed much stronger than your normal coffee.

HTH,
Bob

Less acidic??? I may need to get me one of these! I love love love coffee and especially love French pressed coffee. Unfortunately, the French press doesn't love me back. It totally tears my stomach to pieces and I know it's because it's so acidic. The Aeropress might be a wonderful alternative for me particularly when I'm traveling. Thanks so much for the info! :goodvibes

Hojo has Kerigs! I love them! Now, you can buy assorted flavors in the gift shop there or if you want you can buy it at your local grocery store. It makes one cup at a time you place your cup under neath, place the coffee pod in the marked place and pour your water in the water place! Done very simple!:goodvibes

HOJO's Keurig coffee makers made a coffee snob out of me. Got addicted to the machine when I was on my SOLO trip to the mouse in Oct/10, and liked the machine so much that I bought one when I returned home. Their machines make far better coffee than what they call coffee in the parks, and would take a cup with me to drink on the way to the parks in the morning. They supply you with Columbian coffee in the rooms, but can get stronger kids of coffee in the way of K cups by purchasing them individ in their gift store.

Thanks for the reminder about starbucks VIA! I'm staying at the DLH and didn't want to bring a coffee maker.
But HOJO has Keurig!! In the room? I might change hotels now. HOJO was our 2nd choice.

This is a great thread. I never thought to bring my own coffee. We just got back from staying at the La Quinta Inn, and their coffee was A-W-F-U-L. I even waited for them to put a fresh box in the breakfast room, and it was just as awful. I was dying every morning, and the lines in DL were too long to wait.

I am so getting an Aeropress!

I absolutely need my UK black hot tea (with milk), Dhs special green tea and OF COURSE my own bag of coffee with me. If there are no coffee makers I bring my own wee two cup machine - I order expresso otherwise and wouldn't touch liptons for hot tea...its like dishwater and takes forever to actually turn BLACK, as soon as the boiling water hits it should be BLACK tea not some halfersed yellow brown color and the same applies to coffee! Strong and tasty. I know I have found it hard to find either of these hot little numbers at DL in the past and haven't been to DL in 3 years (in FL so been at DW a lot) so am sad to hear no great strides have been made at DL for when we return in March :( Still I go in prepared! Prepared I say!

I don't drink much coffee but we have a travel Kerrigan for the wife that makes every trip to DL with us
