I'm going to Chicago next week, and I really want to try some of that pizza that Chicago is so famous for.

I'm going to be staying in the downtown area at the Chicago Renaissance hotel and can only go out in the evenings, so I don't want to stray too far from that location. I'm willing to go a few miles, but I don't want to go out to the 'burbs, if you know what I mean!

Suggestions?

Hmmmm...A cab could take you to Gino's East or Pizzaria Uno's. Either one has great Chicago style pizza!!

Due's is just down the block from Uno's...we like that better. Now I'm going to be craving Due's all day!

I know sometimes they will make exceptions tho....heart shaped and deep...doesn't get any better

Gino East! I am a NY Style Pizza girl. But Gino's is very good.

Pizzeria Due is within nice walking distance. I would recommend it over Pizzeria Uno and Gino's East.

Lou Malnati's is the best. DH and I went to Gino's East a month ago. We don't like it but continue to give it another chance. Well we gave them our last chance. The pizza just isn't any good. I feel so sorry for the tourist who make this a "must stop". We went at 5p on a Sat, so at least we didn't have to wait in line. When we left at 6:30 ish, there was a line that had to be at least a 2 hour wait. I just don't get it, THE PIZZA IS NOT GOOD.

Go to Lou Malnati's, you'll love it.

Also, about a block away from your hotel is Bacino's...their pizza is also better than Gino's

another vote for Lou's

do any of these places do delivery? I'm going to be at a hotel on North Michigan, coming in late on a Friday night and would love to enjoy a true chicago pizza from the comfort of my own hotel room. thanks!

Most will usually deliver but don't look at any of the menu's that are in the hotels. Some of those places are not very good, like Ranalli's. Sorry to any Ranalli's fans.

I would also suggest Lou Malnati's. You can print up their menu from their website...they also deliver nationwide!

Lou Malnati's (River North location) delivers on Fridays until 11p.

These all sound like great suggestions! Thanks for everyone's help!

Definitely Lou Malnati's. Gino's East isn't as good as it used to be.
