Calling all carnivore's! (best non-park steak).

The absolute best requires you to be on a basically unlimited budget. It would involve going to Victoria and Albert's and ordering the Japanese Wagyu Steak add-on.

Porterhouse - Yachtsman
Strip - Not beef, but the buffalo strip steak at Artist Point.
Filet - Jiko

The filet mignon is great anywhere on property (Jiko had the best I can remember a couple of years ago-cut it with a fork) but remember good filet is hard to screw up and much easier to get than the other cuts. This is why you never need to order "prime" with a filet mignon.

For "prime" steak, which is the best (excluding kobe), you must leave Disney property as no disney restaurant serves prime. The Shula cut which exceeds prime standards in some areas but not all is going to be a better cut of beef than any steak Disney gets from their vendors as Shula's has a stake (pun intended) in the ranches producing their beef.

Yachtsman's undoubetdely has great choice or angus beef (but not prime) which is going to be above average to great depending upon your luck but they charge prices higher than Morton's for goodness sake! Better love that ambiance!

Le Cellier also serves choice but the steak is akin to Outback (no slam here, Outback & Le Cellier is fine as long as you realize it's not going to be Ruths' Chris quality).

Lastly the buffalo strip at AP is fantastic. Sadly I notice it isn't regularly on the menu anymore.

Yachtsman is still my favorite. In January we went to V& A and had the Waygo beef. My boyfriend raises beef cows so this was important to him. He says it was the best steak he ever had and worth $205. I did not agree. Everyone is different though. The dress code is dresses/dress pants for women and coats for men. :)

Overall, I agree with the other posters on the Yachtsman. You'll get an excellent steak no matter which one you choose.

As far as filets, Citricos and California Grill are always great.

Not all steaks are created equal.

I can compare the filet mignon at Todd English's bluezoo™ and the filet mignon at Yachtsman Steakhouse. If I did a blind taste test with those steaks and then did the same with a random sample of guests, I guarantee that people would find the Todd English steak to be miles above the Yachtsman steak in quality.

Wish they had a Wildfire at WDW. ;)

LeCellier (imho) is the best in park restaurant for steaks. I am asking all carnivore's for their opinion on the best non-park steak that is still in existence. For a reasonable entree price of under $60. :wizard:

Fillet - :worship:
NY Strip - :yay:
Porterhouse -

The best non park steak is at Shula's Steakhouse located inside of the WDW Dolphin. Second would be Jiko located at the AKL.

Our entire meal at Shula's was excellent. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good steak.

The Prime Rib at the Turf Club at SSR. It was the best ever cut of Prime Rib I ever had, absolutely no fat on the steak, seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Well, as of this past weekend, I can safely say that Yachtsman Steakhouse and Narcoossee's fell behind California Grill and Citrico's. My gf would put Le Cellier above them, too.

I had been surprised no one had mentioned the Turf Club yet - we stumbled upon it our last trip and it was by far one of the best meals we have ever. The restaurant was nice and low key and the steak was AMAZING!

My favorite so far has to be Jiko. The Filet was tender and cut with a fork & the service was just perfect. Le Cellier was good to but Jiko was much better.
