calling all "car rental discount" disers!...need advice!

Hi there!

I have been watching all of the threads about rental cars, codes etc. here. I usually get a great rate due to codes etc. but I also usually travel on "off peak" times. Well, not this year! LOL I will be in Florida in 3 weeks!

Here is the best I have done so far. If anyone can help me find better rates I would be truly grateful!

We arrive in MCO on April 8th. Dh is picking up a full size car at MCO (I am taking ME with ds's). The best rate I have found for this portion is $102.62...this is pick up at MCO on the 8th and drop off at Dolphin on the 11th. Using code b39401 and contract id 5125601 for National

Then we are picking up a mini van on 4/14 at the Dolphin and dropping off at TPA on the 21st. The best rate I have found for this is Alamo at $280.90 using rate code QVW, contract id 7000440 (entertainment coupon).

My pick up and drop off times are the same so that I do not get the extra day charge.

I know these are pretty decent rates, considering it is right around Easter but it seems so high compared to what I am used to! LOL Just thought if anyone has any better ideas you might be willing to share!

Have you tried www.kayak.com ? What is the address or "code" for the Dolphin? I would look, but I'm not sure what to fill in for inside WDW.

the code for the Dolphin with Alamo is ORLR74 and with National ORLR13...thanks!

It's kinda hard because there are only those two rental companies inside WDW. I am getting only higher rates than yours!! Howver, Budget can give you a full size car for $211.16, but you have to pick it up in Kissimee and I am unaware of how you will get there to get it. The address is :IS1 - KISSIMMEE, FL

I wish I could help more, but I think your price is pretty decent considering it's Easter week.
