We are staying at the Poly in March for 3 days (Me, DH, DS8, DD6 and adult friend). We decided to switch then to BC because we've never stayed there and my DH was excited about the pool for the kids. Now I'm worried about space. Although BC and YC are the same square footage of rooms the YC says sleeps 5 and BC says sleeps 4? I'm SOOOOO Confused! Did I make a big mistake? :confused3 And do I need to specifically request certain bed arrangements? Thanks so much for your help!

Our family of 5 stayed at the Poly July of 2006 and we loved it. July of 2007 and just 2 weeks ago we stayed at the Beach Club and to tell you the truth we didn't see any diference in square footage. Our family fit comfortably and to my surprise this is definitely our Home Resort. My boys love the resort and we have made so many new friends there. It's like visiting old friends as the boys know some of the cast members like Art and Raouf and Jordan from Childrens Activites. We try to visit Disney at least twice a year and we will definitely be booking Beach Club again. You will have a great time - no worries.

At both BC and YC there are rooms for 5 - include daybed- and rooms for 4 - no daybed. Just request the daybed if needed when reserving.

If you have 5 in your party you WILL get a daybed room-- the rooms are wonderful and spacious.

I don't think you will be disappointed by the BC. BC and Poly are my two favorites. I'm staying at BC again in May and I can't wait!

Beach Club is WONDERFUL! It's nice to be so close to Epcot, DS, and the Boardwalk, and the rooms are lovely and spacious.

As for the pool--well, there's no comparison! Your kids will love it. I can't imagine you won't enjoy your time here immensely!:thumbsup2

BC does hold five. It actually the five of us during the summer. That was one of the best times we've had!! You will love it!! There was me, DH, DS17, DD16, and DD16's BFF.

A few things to check out: Cape May Cafe character breakfast (good food and not crowded), SAB ( awesome pool area!!), and Art! He's one of my favorite parts about going to BC! The slide at SAB is a lot of fun and the sandy bottom was great. There is a lot of space in the rooms and the closeness to Epcot and MGM was all worth it!! Oh, and check out the evening entertainment at the BW. Just an added bonus.

Two things to be aware of:

Some of the rooms have double beds instead of queens (even rooms with daybeds). If having the queens is important, be sure to request it.

Some of the BC rooms have a small, one person standing, balcony. Some of the rooms have a standard full balcony with two chairs and a small table. If sitting on your balcony is important, be sure to request a full balcony. Or you can request a first floor room, as all the first floor rooms have a small patio with two chairs and table.

One thing I like at BC vs. Poly is that the sinks are outside the room that contains the shower and toilet, which makes getting ready in the morning go much faster.

Thanks guys so much for your help. I'm sure we will have a great time! Now I guess I just need to figure out the touring schedule. We had planned to have dinner and watch illuminations on the first part of our stay (via monorail) and do MGM/Fantasmic the first night we were at BC(its EMH that night). One of our party has to leave after one night at BC. Also we were originally supposed to do Epcot EE the morning after the first night at BC. With all the great comments however I'm thinking we might not want to leave the resort! Maybe I should try Epcot FW on a different non-EE day. Does anyone know if that would be a problem in mid-March? And is the water in SAB tolerable for adults that time of year? (My kids will swim in ANYTHING! :rotfl: )

Disney supposedly heats their pools, but they must only heat to the 80's because it feels a little too cool for me. Lots of people enjoy them though.

Mid March will probably be pretty busy, as Easter is early (March 23rd), so there will be some overlap of the schools that schedule their break according to the holiday and the schools that schedule in March regardless of the holiday. I would plan on using the morning EMH when you can (for the really popular rides) and maybe play it by ear on the evening EMH.

My advice would be to definitely do the Epcot EE while you're at the BC, when you're close by and can walk over. :thumbsup2 You can spend time in the resort in the afternoon when the park gets hot and crowded.
