Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways"

Hi....

Haven't been keeping up with this thread since I won't be on this cruise -- but I was wondering if anything else had come out of the t-shirt ideas for both the "survived Frances" group and the 8/19 reunion group?

Thanks,

Cathy

Cathy, since you asked...

I had to set the t-shirts aside to do some stuff for Halloween and then I've spent a week or so since then trying to get my house back in shape. It looked like a craft factory exploded in my kitchen - paint, cardboard and glue everywhere.

I have received the ink and the blank screens, but my girlfriend won't be able to get the rest of the equipment over to my house for a week or so. I will be working on getting the transparency templates for the screens finished up this coming weekend. But then I still have to create the actual screens and run some 'test shirts' through the process. It is my intention to try and be ready to start taking orders after the first of the year. (However, keep in mind how busy the Holiday season can get.) I'll let you guys know as I get the step done!

Evening All,

Just popped on for my little updates.

Tina, My Neighbour- How long before the wedding now! I hope you manage to sort out the dress and wedding band problems. I will be thinking of you.

Andy- Congratulations on the weight loss your are doing really well, keep it up, the way it's going I'll take your size 38 pants if they are no good to you, as my weight seems to be going in the wrong direction up not down. My best to you and the family.

Darlene - My prayers and plenty of pixie dust being sent your dear son Steven. I am sure Jan-Feb will come around real soon for you. Also hope Stan is feeling better.

Doreen - Your daughter looked beautiful, you must be very proud. I cant wait until my daughter reaches the stage of wanting to dress up.

Lyn - Hope Matt continues to get better soon. Best Wishes to him and to all of you from across the pond.

Ginny - nice to see you back, sorry you have been poorly, hope you will soon feel better.

Hope I havent forgotten anybody,

Speak soon

Sue

Hi everyone :wave2:

I've been without internet for most of the day, it just came back online.

This morning I had a LONG post typed out, replying to practically everyone on this thread. When I hit the "Submit" button, I got the white ERROR screen. :( I then retyped another reply, and again got the ERROR screen when I tried to submit. After that, I lost internet connection totally.

So...I'm hoping this goes through this time!

In a nutshell, here's what I typed this morning:

Lyn: I'm sorry about Matt being in such pain again, but I'm glad he passed it without having to go through the procedure.

Darlene: No matter how we feel about the war or politics, NO ONE wants to see anything happen to ANY of the boys. Each one of them is someone's child. I pray that all of them, and especially Steven, return home safely. I'm glad that Stan is feeling better, I hope he can get rid of that tube soon.

Doreen: Jaclyn looked absolutely gorgeous! I'm glad she had a fun time at the prom. :)

Carmen: Welcome back! We missed you.

Karen: How is your leg doing? How is PT going??

Dori: Sounds like you and Devin had a really fun weekend. :)

Andy: Congrats on the additional loss of 2 more pounds! I weighed myself this morning and I've lost only a total of 1 1/2 pounds, but I guess its better than gaining or staying the same. And I haven't been making a big effort to lose, but I've been trying to cut down.

Ginny: Sorry you weren't feeling well, Hope you're all better soon.

Tina: You must be really busy with all of your wedding plans. Don't forget to take a deep breath once in a while, and relax with us here for a minute or two :)
I am drawing a blank on everything else I had typed :( I am sorry for not responding to everyone individually like I did this morning. I know I also replied to Bev, Sue, Diane, etc... I just can't remember what I said. BLAH, it stinks to get old. lol

Congrats on the loss Terry, it's better to go down than up!!! :earseek:

I just got done buying more theater tickets this morning. Devin and I are going to take my Mom to see Lion King on 12/23. It's going to be part of her Christmas present. Then, just to break the bank, I bought 2 concert tickets to see the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas concert on Friday 12/10.

Boy, the kid is going to be spoiled! But then again, I put this kind of stuff in the same category as books. (I don't consider buying books for Devin as spoiling him, because it 'educational'.) I can't wait. It should be fun!

Ginny - if you know how to link our ressies, please feel free to do so. We would love it. Sandy certainly would enjoy eating with her friends. Let me know.

Hi everyone:wave:

Verandah man - Great job on your weight lost. "Weigh" to go.

Terry - "Only" 1 1/2 pounds is great. It's a start and I heard that losing slowly is better for keeping it off. I'm watching my carbs. Gotta lose atleast 5 pounds before my cruise in 39 days.

Darlene - sent you a PM

Tina - didn't receive the invitation yet. Lol

Lyn - hope Matt is feeling better

Everyone that still is not feeling well, hope you get better soon.

I just ordered this lamp for my desk. It'll be perfect because my desk and desk area is already Disney and tropical themed :teeth:

Kind of reminds me of our Disney cruise, too! :sunny:

Darlene,

Tried to send you a PM but couldn't. Said your mail box was full. Will try again tomorrow.

Good morning:wave:

Happy Wednesday everybody.

Darlene - I'm getting ready for work. I get in by 6 am. If it's okay, could you post Steven's address so that I (and I'm sure all your DIS friends) could send him a card or note just to let him know how much we appreciate what he is doing and that we're thinking of him. I know how much it means to our servicemen and women to receive mail, especially with the holidays coming so quickly. Hang in there.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning "wave2:

Hey I just realized that Karen has been missing in action! In my original post yesterday, which got lost, I remember asking her how PT was going. KAREN! Are you out there?? I hope you're ok! :)

Thanks for the encouragement on the 1 1/2 pound weight loss. I have 219 days before our next cruise so I really need to get going and do better. We're going to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where I want to climb the Dunn's River Falls. And we're going to Grand Cayman where one of my sisters in law and I want to swim with the stingrays. I need to be in good shape for this! :)

I'm working today instead of tomorrow because Robby is in a tri-town parade tomorrow. And Craig has 4 friends sleeping over tonight. Tomorrow is his only day off from work (and school).

Have a great day, everyone! :sunny:

Good morning everyone.
Thank you for all the comments on Jaclyn, I am very proud of her. Joanna,, I may have to come up with a cell phone for her. Report cards just came out and I may have to eat my words,,lol ( she is proving me wrong).
Andy great job with the weight loss.. Terry keep up the good work.
Our local PIZZA HUT burned down last night and sadly we were just there SUNDAY night so this may help the cause. Did everyone watch "BIGGEST LOOSERS"? Its amazing to see them do all that. I am not sure If I could get on tv and show all of AMERICA by big fat butt and my weight... good for them.

Darlene, I too have connection to the MARINES in IRAQ he is 24. It is Jaclyns BF Cousin. He calls me weekly from IRAQ and emails me several times a week. I tell him I am so proud of him for what he is doing for my freedom to be able to walk out my door and drive to the store, go to the library, for my daughter to go to school, for my education. His name is RUSSELL. He is a gaurd at that prison where all that ARMY scandel was a few months back. Like your son, he is proud to serve his country for our freedom. God bless them all.

At the prom that Jaclyn went to, there was a picture I took with the back ground about FREEDOM and the student drew sketches of soldiers,,. I took a pic of the Jaclyn and Andy there so I could send it to Russell in IRAQ.
When he calls me, its like he is right next door to me,, we talk about 20 min before he goes on gaurd duty. His parents have not been able to talk to him since he has been gone because of the time diference so I told him to call me any time he needed to talk since I am usually home.
Enough of my rambling..

have a great day...

Doreen

Hi Terry:wave2: Karen is still around... she is busy pestering me,,lol
her knee is still killing her. PT is not going very well. I will give her a call now to tell her to post..

I did the DUNNS RIVER FALLS 2 yrs ago, and I think that is my favorite exursion. We loved that so much. The guide had me lead the way with him.. They had Marty-Bob go down the natural slide too. Be sure to wear water shoes too. You will have a great time there.

You have to go to MARAGRETAVILLE and go down the water slide to the bar too.. Our group did the lind dance back to the ship too. ( I WANT TO GO TO JAMIACA)..lol

Karen said she has been very busy at work and has been thinking about everyone

Doreen

Hi Everyone!!!!

I am still here!! I am not lost at sea!!!(I only wish!!) Work very busy lately. Trying to collect as much money before the end of the year(I am collection manager at my company). My knee is killing me I went to PT last nite and I felt worse after!!! Ice(no smoothie) on knee when I got home. I could have used a smoothie. Also doing alot of Christmas shopping for my kids(oh I mean Doreen's kids!!!lol Doreen!!::yes:: ::yes:: And telling our dad what to get everyone!!! I buy, he pays!!! It works for him!! Everone is surprised including him!!!!(Doreen you know what I mean). The UPS truck will be showing up at his house probably everyday(just like when I was living at home.
Thank God for QVC!!!!! and online shopping!!!

Question to anyone out there???? I anyone going on the Magic or Wonder in the near future???? I need to ask a favor!!!!

Talk to you later!!!!!!:wave2:

Hi all,

I've been lurking and catching up with you all but haven't felt like posting. Finally I got approved to see orthopedist and go to see him this Friday. I don't know what he can tell me or do for me but the fact that I can see him and talk to him about what's going on is a relief. Doreen, your statement "Take me out back and shooot me ,, right Karen????" made me laugh. Both my Mom and I have back/leg problems and we say this to each other all the time! She even told her orthopedist this at one of her appointments!! LOL. Loved Jaclyn's pics! Funny thing when you tell your kids you'll get them something if their grades improve. Scott, my oldest, wanted to take driver's ed and I told him his grades to to improve drastically. Well, I ate my words!! He got his driver's license in August and I did get him a cell phone, not because he wanted one, but I feel better if he's out driving and has the cell to call us if something happens.

Lyn, glad to hear that Matt is better. While I know the pain of kidney stones I hear it's so much worse for men.

Andy, Terry and you other dieters -- keep up the good work!!!

Terry, I love your new lamp!!! So cute and tropical!!

Karen, IKWYM about "Thank God for QVC!!!!! and online shopping!!!" Online shopping is a true lifesaver!!!!!!! I hope your knee gets better soon.

Travis, glad you found your way over here.

Ginny, I don't think I've said it but I'm so sorry for your loss :(

Anyway, hello to anyone I've missed. I'm at work but had to check in. Have a great day all!!!
