Called Ticketmania today about PH Tickes

I called Ticketmania today to ask about the wholesale price of my 4 + 1 hopper pass (unused).

I am trying to decide whether it would be better to just buy new MYW passes (ahead of time) than get the dollar value for my current hopper passes, if WDW is just giving the wholesale price.

I was told to bring along the receipt I had, showing the price I paid, and that Disney would have to give me that amount in credit.

I then tried to explain the situation again, that I was interested in an approximate wholesale price, to get an idea of what I should do.

He suggested I use my hopper pass (4 day worth) and then buy a MYW 5 day pass, if I didn't like the dollar credit I would receive. A 5 day non expiring hopper pass is $242 at Disney........I could buy a 10 day pass for $247 from Ticketmania, or from Disney for $259. For just a few more dollars, I could have 10 days, and still have my hopper passes!

Just to let you know that vendors selling the tickets may have no idea of what is going on, either.

I just called and unfortunately wholesale and convention tickets are non upgradeable, non refundable. I am sorry you were given the wrong information.
Your best bet is what the representative told you to do and keep your 4 day hopper + and buy the 5 day MYW pass.

Couldn't I sell my 4 + 1 on Ebay or DIS auctions, since they have never been used?

I assume the non transferable piece starts AFTER they have been used.

Can you still upgrade park hoppers to ap's? Are people just not able to change hopper passes into myw tix?

When you say wholesale and convention tickets are you also talking about hotwire purchased tickets. I was thinking of trading them in for MYW tickets???

I would like to know too. I plan on getting MYW from ticketmania. Will disney change a child to an adult for free if the ticket was already used by the person when they were a child. They do if you purchase from disney.

There have been other posters who have said that ticket credit cannot be applied to new MYW tickets unless you purchase a nonexpiring feature on the tickets. We were going to apply 2 days onto MYW & save some money but won't be able to now. I would save them for future 5 day trip since the difference between a 5 & 10 day myw ticket is so minimal.
