called for PS today, first day of change

Called this morning when I got into work (forgot to wake up early - 5:00a my time) - got right through and made ressies at CRT for 10/23 at 9:40a and couldn't be more thrilled - would never have known if it weren't for these boards! Thanks again, dandee

I guess by the afternoon the flood of calls had died off. I called around 1:45 EST and was only on hold for less than 3 minutes. I did use the 1-800 DC number, so maybe that helped too. I got CRT for 10/27 at 8:20. I had my pick of dates and times - a first for me for a CRT ps!!!! I'm sure though by the next time we go everyone will have gotten used to the 90 day rule and I'll have to wake up early again.

I had no problems at all. I called at 10:00 EST, and I had all my PS's but one already made. I was just calling for CRT lunch had no hold time, and got the first time I wanted. She double checked with me twice that I understood this wasn't the character meal and I said "Oh, I know...that's very popular, but we just want lunch!" We're all set now and I just can't wait. We're having a garage sale this weekend and I'm hoping for $100 to go in my WDW fund.

At 7:41 this morning I finally got through...while I had a choice of the dates I wanted, either 10/21 or 10/22, the times weren't working out to my satisfaction. I either wanted very early on 10/21 or the latest possible on 10/22....well both of them were for around 9:30-9:40..... I chose 9:40 on 10/22. I stewed about it all day and finally decided to call back at 1:30 EST, was on hold about five minutes, had a super nice CM check with me and was able to book 10/21 at 8:05.....exactly what I wanted!!!!

If I was happy this morning....I was ecstatic this afternoon!!!



So, if they didn't have the exact time you wanted, be sure and check back, you never know....

I decided to take charge of the CRT breakfast duty for our Halloween trip. I called this morning and the phone lines were super busy! I kept getting the "all circuits are busy" message till I had to go to work. I came home from work and hopped on the phone using the Disney Club 800 number and asked the CM if there is any slight chance of Cindy's reservations for Oct. 31, Nov 1, or Nov. 2 and she said "yes, which time and day?". I wanted the 31st and 9:05 and got it!! There were other times available as well. I was in shock that the phone lines were so packed this morning and I got the reservation so easily this evening! Even the CM said you sound shocked! So I explained my mornings adventure and she said "well you got it!". Made a few other reservations and I happliy floated off the phone, LOL.

Aug. 6 would have been the day that I started calling, one day at a time, to get PS's for CRT and Chef Mickey's during our week-long stay in October. Due to new rules starting today, I decided to call, but NOT at the busy 6:00 (central time) hour. I called at 9:30 (10:30 at WDW) and got both! I told her the span of days and she'd call out what she had for that day. If I didn't like those times, we went to another day. My CRT is at 9:05 and my Chef Mickey's dinner is 2 days later at 5:15. There wasn't anything except 5'ish times and 8:00 times. All the 6-7 times were gone...except for a 7:00 on the same day as my CRT and I didn't want to bunch them up. The 5:15 will be all right. I'm a happy camper!!! I think I'll try to keep CRT a secret for 9 weeks, but I don't think I can!
