Call to confirm ADR

Today I got a call asking me to confirm our Jiko reservation for Saturday. This is the first that I've had an ADR there in advance, the last time I booked the day of. Is the phone call normal?

We have gotten confirmation calls for Jiko and Boma sometimes, not every time.
